Butter hummed a light and happy tune as he painted eggs assorted colors, a smile gracing his lips. "There, done." He declared happily, setting the freshly painted egg down onto the carton. He gazed over the rest of the painted eggs and smiled even more. They all look so pretty, rose pinks, lime greens, yellowy yellows. He just hoped his parents liked them. He sighed and leaned back, looking at the room around him. It was moments like this, moments with no parents, groundings, or yelling; moments of just absolute and pure solitude and silence, that Butters was at his happiest. The only thing that could make it better was-
"Hey there cutey," Kenny whispered seductively in his ear as Kenny wrapped his arms around him. Butter's giggled and blushed, pushing into Kenny's hug. The smell of smoke and beer hung thick around him, the smell of Kenny's home, but underneath the odor of a poor families home lay a sweeter scent. The scent of earthy smelling deodorant and shampoo, the smell that the booze and cigarettes couldn't completely mask. The scent that nobody but him could detect. The smell of Kenny McCormick. Butter's looked up into the eyes of his boyfriend, hidden behind a large and furry orange hood. Kenny pulled back his hood and his blonde hair fell into his face as he smiled at Butters. "Havin' fun decoratin' eggs are we?" Kenny asked. Butters smiled again.
"Mhmm. I did them all by myself." Butters declared, motioning towards the eggs. Kenny smiled again and sat down behind Butters, legs crossed.
"They look beautiful Butters. You paint well." Kenny said, staring at the eggs. Butters blushed again and looked at the eggs.
"Well shucks there not that good Kenny. I mean I could have done better." Butters said. Kenny sighed and Butters looked down at himself, sighing as well.
"Butters, they look beautiful." Kenny said rather forcefully.
"I know, I know, but-" Butters started. Kenny cut him off with a kiss and took Butters hand in his face. Kenny broke of their kiss and pressed his forehead into Butters, staring at him intently. Kenny often did this. It wasn't that Butters didn't know that he was rather good at painting, it was just that his parents objected to t and said his painting were horrid. Butters, ever naive and believing, took this for the truth. They said a lot of things Butters took for the truth. Of course there was Kenny, always there to fight what Butters parents said and to make Butters feel better about himself. Kenny was always doing that. Kenny moved down, his lips lightly brushing Butters.
"Your amazing babe, you gotta believe that." The front could be heard unlocking and Kenny was up in a flash, heading for the backdoor. Butters sighed and looked to Kenny who pressed his hand to his ear and winked, meaning he would call later.
"Happy Easter, Kenny." Butters said quickly. Butters smiled and looked over to see his parents hurrying through the front door. "Hi mom. Hi dad." Butters said lightly. His parents nodded at him and hurried to the kitchen. Butters "Hello Kitty" themed cellphone rang. He picked it up tenderly and flipped into open, putting the phone to his ear.
"Happy Easter, Butters." Kenny said.
