Notes: Sokka wrote this after Yue died and before he met Suki. I'm not exactly a poet, but the idea just came to me. Enjoy and review!
You were the one I loved, sweet Yue, before you were taken away,
So swiftly you went, there was barely a word I could say.
I knew you for such a short time, but I know that it's true,
When I look up at the moon at night, I will always think of you.
Sweet Yue, will you give me light by night, so I may find the way,
When the sunsets and the moon rises, at the end of every day.
Yue, I will always love you, your hair white as the moon,
Your eyes so blue, your voice so sweet, I will see you someday soon.
Your presence, my love, inspired love, from your parents and your friends,
But I am the only one who will love you, until the very end.
Why, cruel world, why have you taken, my sweet Yue away?
For there were so many things, I never got to say.
You always cared for others, more than yourself that's true,
Yet in the end, that was the thing that ended my time with you.
I will dream of you, Yue, when I sleep at night,
Your face so beautiful, your words so sweet,
Truly an amazing sight.
So please, if you will, look down on me,
Guide me with your love.
So that at night I may think of you, Yue, as I look up above…

Notes: This is a short poem, I know, and I hate short one-shots, but for some reason this just… I had to write it. I couldn't imagine Sokka just forgetting her sacrifice…
