A young teenager trudged through the woods of Termina. Like many people, she was on a quest. A quest that another person whom she knew was on at the very same time. In fact, she was looking for that very person…
The girl's name was Cecily. She had brown hair that tumbled down to her back with light blond highlights and dark blue eyes.
Cecily sighed as she tried to remember the boy's name.
"Lin…k…?" she thought aloud, "Link…yes…that's right…he was the one who saved me…"
The girl smiled at the thought of reuniting with her old friend Link, who had saved her when she was little.
The dungeons of Ganon's castle were dark and dismal. Many had lost their lives when Ganondorf took over Hyrule, including her parents. A group of Ganon's guards had discovered them when they went into hiding. Both Cecily and her little sister, Erina had to watch both of their parents meet their deaths as they were brutally stabbed multiple times by the army. Then, both girls were dragged into a carriage and taken to the previously known Hyrule Castle. When the guards took the sisters to Ganondorf, he studied both of them carefully before announcing: "Throw the older one in the dungeons, she might come in useful. And the little one…she is no use to me, hang her!"
Cecily's face paled as the King of Evil also added: "But, wouldn't it be more satisfying if she had to watch her sister die?"
Now, Cecily had tears running down her cheeks as she watched her seven year old sister being dragged away, screaming and thrashing in the strong grip of the soldier's arms.
Cecily watched as a guard tied the noose around her sister's neck so tightly that she began to choke. The soldier glanced at the King and he gave a nod of approval. It all happened very quickly. The trigger was pulled and the floor beneath Erina collapsed leaving her sister dead, hanging from a rope.
Minutes later Cecily collided with the cold concrete floor as a soldier threw her to the ground like a sack of potatoes. He looked down at her before kicking her in the ribcage with his hard, metal tipped boots.
The girl screamed in pain as he left her and slammed the dungeon door shut leaving Cecily in agony, and an orphan.
Cecily wouldn't eat whatever the guards gave her, even though it was just normally bits of mouldy bread and rotting vegetation. She would cry hour upon hour, day after day. Until the same guard came back. Only this time he had a huge mallet in his hand. Blood painted the grey walls a dark red colour.
It was only a few weeks later when the hero came. She was curled up in a corner when the metal bars on the window broke loose and a figure emerged. A boy slightly older than her and clad in green stood before her. He took in her bloodied and broken form and muttered "What did they do to you?"
"T-they tr-"she began but was cut off by the boy.
"No" he hushed her "they might find us…I'll get you away from here"
And with that, he scooped her up and effortlessly jumped down from the window.
Cecily cringed as she remembered the pain and torture she had to go through, emotionally and physically.
Looking up, she saw the gates of Clock Town up ahead. She began to run and her face lit up.
She was going to find Link.
