Familiar
The Doctor looked around him in shock as the Cybermen descended upon London. But one question raged in his mind. Who the hell was this woman who kissed him so brazenly moments ago. He had to know.
"Who are you?"
"Oh you know who I am." The woman behind him spoke. "I'm Missy."
"Who's Missy?" he whispered, almost to himself. The Doctor ran through every possibility in his mind. But nothing clicked.
"Ugh… please try to keep up. It's short for 'Mistress'" the exasperated Missy explained in a matter-of-fact tone.
'No. Nononono… It can't be...' The Doctor turned around in horror, only to see this 'Missy' through new eyes.
"Couldn't very well keep calling myself 'The Master', now could I?"
'Oh, dear Gallifrey!' The Doctor's mind splintered at the realization. But, oddly, only one thought stood out among the others:
'I KNEW that tongue tasted familiar!'
