Yes, I have wrote another idea for fanfiction based around manga chapters 72 and 73. Just a very quick drabble that's all, I got the idea from some fanfart I found. Hopefully I will have other ideas than this. Taken for once in Riza's point of view.
"I can no longer be by your side."
She had said those words after taking a sip of her coffee. She didn't want to waste time on mindless chit chat, nor did she want this to be any harder than it would already be. But after what happened only a few days ago, she had came to the conclusion that working even near him could cost him his life. And that was something she couldn't live with.
"I am sorry."
When Pride had came up to her that night, and had told her that Mustang would not come out unharmed if she told the truth to anyone. She was unbelievably scared out of her mind. Before that she had kept her cool and her voice remained calm, even when Pride had shown her his power and left his mark on her. She had quickly got him to stop. I mean, what advantage would he or any of his companions have if she had fell dead that night?
Why did that he had to stare at her like that?
But when he said his last part to her, Riza eyes had widened and without a second thought she turned on her heel. She wanted or like needed to see this monster, she needed to know if this was some kind of nightmare or not. But there was no one standing by the dark doorway. He would be always watching her from the shadows, keeping a rope tied around not only her's but Mustang's neck as well.
The man in front of her put down his coffee.
One the same night, she saw what Pride could really do. When she came home, she almost jumped out of her skin when she saw a pair of eyes looking at her in the darkness. When it only turned out to her faithful little dog, she could of hit herself over the head. She remembered thinking that if she contined to act like this, she would go out of her mind very quickly. But she soon received a phone call that night as well, it was welcoming and somehow helped her. Mustang didn't know it, but with that phone call he gave her the strength to carry on with this nightmare. Something she would always be thankful for, but hell she was never going to tell him the truth. At least not to his face.
She put her coffee down, just like he had done.
But after that night, she couldn't bear to live with herself knowing that Pride could hurt Mustang at anytime. So on the second night she decided that she would move away from the man. Her logic was if she was far away as possible from him, then he couldn't get hurt because of her. So she redressed herself from her uniform that she could spit on, to a simple white shirt and black pants. And made her way to his apartment. And now she was sitting on his sofa with him sitting in a chair in front of her.
"No."
She looked up from where her eyes had tried to glued themselves to the coffee mug. He had gotten up at some point and was now standing over her. In a flash, he had grabbed one of her arms and pulled her up to her feet. He then moved his arms around her and she soon found herself in a tight hug. His head buried in her neck.
"I can never accept that. I can never lose you."
Thanks for any reviews.
