Signs

About a week ago, I was told to look for signs that signified something important. Let's just say I found them, or more like my friends found them for me. Strange that this story was actually written long before these events occured though.
Oh yeah, they aren't the same signs as these, just so you know :P

"No it isn't."

"Yes it is."

"No it isn't."

Yes. It is."

"No it is-"

"Alright!" Ino shouted, breaking the argument. "Can we just drop it? No one else cares about whether or not a stupid cloud looks like a heart."

Chouji laughed. "Let the two have their fun Ino."

Shikamaru shrugged. "I still say it doesn't look anything like a heart."

"Well it is okay?"

She just kept on staring at him, like there was no one else around.

Shikamaru sighed. "Fine."

She gave him a smile. "Glad you see it my way."

Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

She pushed him, not hard but enough for him to lose his balance.

"Jeez woman," he said, stopping himself from falling off the chair.

She giggled, in a way that sounded out of character.

Chouji, Ino, and Kankuro all looked at her with raised eyebrows.

She looked around for the time. "Well I gotta go," she began, standing up.

"Shikamaru, remember to meet me at the gate, okay?"

"Yeah, alright. See you there."

She gave a wave goodbye before disappearing into the crowd.

When she was gone, all eyes strayed to Shikamaru.

He looked up. "What?"

Kankuro grabbed him by the jacket. "What have you done to my sister?"

Shikamaru became wide eyed. "What? Nothing, I didn't do anything!"

Chouji laughed. "Put him down Kankuro."

Kankuro hesitated, but eventually did so.

"What was that all about?" Shikamaru said, straightening his jacket.

Ino giggled. "You mean you didn't see it?"

"See what?"

"All those signs?"

This time it was Shikamaru raising an eyebrow. "Signs?"

Chouji laughed. "The continuous conversation, the fact that it seemed like to her we didn't exist, the push, and most of all..."

Chouji tried not to laugh again. "...That giggle."

Shikamaru sighed. "Yeah I noticed them."

Ino looked at him. "And?"

"And I think she's sick or something. Kankuro you'd better do something about it."

He twitched at that statement.

Shikamaru got up. "Well now I have to get those stupid papers for Temari. My turn to leave."

When he was gone, the remaining three continued talking.

"Wow," Chouji began. "He actually doesn't get it."

"If he hurts her..." Kankuro began.

Ino smiled. "Don't worry. He'll get the signs eventually."

Chouji returned to his food. "After all, Shikamaru's not that stupid."
