I will put the Word count (without the note) and page number at the end of each fic. Enjoy my first story!

From Another World
Prologue:
All is as it should be… for now.
Clockwork's POV
I click the knob on my staff to a different possible future. Ah, that's the one. I solemnly observe the events, wondering why this one, out of all others, was the most likely. There were futures where Danny was happy, many more with an unfortunate ending, but this one, this one out of all the possible futures was the most likely. It was a sad future, but if played out right… I turn my head from the time portal, shrouding my elderly face in shadow, contemplating this future, and pondering at how to lessen the pain-both physical and emotional-to the young prince, wondering, and not for the first time when contemplating matters surrounding the young Phantom if luck was an actual force, and if it was, how Danny managed to piss it off. I was unable to see all that my young apprentice would go through, a side effect of both my previous meddling, and an unwillingness to observe the events. Perhaps- but no matter; I sigh simultaneously slamming on the little button topping my staff, something that shuts off the time screen, as well as shifting from the elderly face I usually morphed to when contemplating the consequences of interfering, to that of a young man, the face I usually took on when confronting the Observants- or, rather being confronted.
"CLOCKWOOORK!" Ah, right on time. Then again, for me everything is on time, the temporal ticking of the universe that I am forever bound to ensuring that.
"Yes?" I asked in my customary monotone, contemplating why I don't just leave a piece of paper with our entire meeting on it in advance on the outside of the citadel doors; it would certainly be less irritating than dealing with them. My slight grimace, which had made itself present when they had thrown open the doors, 'Those were mahogany!' grew larger; I already knew what they were going to do.
For immortal beings, they have surprisingly small amounts of patience. This was something I had pondered, the conundrum confounding me. The Observants were among the longest lived of beings, and yet… their patience is put to shame by that of a two year old! They never ceased to not look at the long-term outcome, only ever directing their attention to the immediate.
"You absolutely must destroy the boy! It must be now, Clockwork!" Ah, yes… This again. I shifted to my child form; this conversation, in all visible futures turned out badly anyways –why not at least have fun aggravating them with a lisp?
Stepping forward dramatically the second, 'Josh? Bill?' threw his clawed hand forward, stating in what he, 'Stewart? Hubert?' probably thought was a sufficiently impressive way, "Danny Phantom must perish!"
Needless to say, I was unimpressed. "Didn't you say those exact words during that scare with his evil future?" Emphasizing my point, an old, dented metal thermos bangs and jumps a few inches off the shelf it was on as the sole occupant gets restless.
"Exactly, Clockwork." the first observant speaks again, irritated this time. "We already have proof that there is a significant evil within the boy. Who is to say that this time, it won't take control?"
I scowl, but can't refute the words. Truly, the fusion with Plasmius' ghost had affected Daniel less than he had been led to believe. Though it did change the Phantom's physical form, drive him into madness and set him on the path to destroy all he could; none of the changes would have happened in the first place if Daniel hadn't already had the potential. Strange things happen when ghosts overshadow other ghosts. In most cases, it becomes a battle of willpower, the weaker willed ghost being ejected from the body; no matter if it was theirs originally or not. If the ghost evicted was the one who invaded the others form in the first place, then there are no lasting consequences, merely a drain of power. If, however, the ghost that takes total control of the body is not the one overshadowed it in the first place, the original occupant takes the form and strength of the aggressor, while the attacker gets full control of not only the other's body, but their powers as well.
In other cases, however, such as when the ghost is dazed, or distracted, the one that overshadowed the other consumes the other ghost, their strength and powers are augmented by the overtaken ghost, and the weaker ghost does not get pushed out of the body, but ended instead.
Such was the case when Phantom overshadowed Plasmius. As Phantom dove into Plasmius, taking control, he knew nothing of the repercussions of ghosts overshadowing others of their own kind. I close my eyes, the scene viewed from my time window come back to haunt me.
– Plasmius' eyes open, pure toxic green – they freeze like a porcelain doll, skin freezing under the pressure of two immensely powerful beings fighting for control – wrongwrongwrong - cracks race down the skin, shattering and revealing Phantom once more – he lets out an unearthly wail as he feels the unbearable agony as, for the second time, his very being is shredded apart and put back together – wrongwrongwrongwrongwrongwrong – quicksilver hair lifts up and turns to fire, a cold, deathly flame – mind shatters under the pressure, sharp ideas left behind – under lids, radioactive green eyes bleed black, surrounding a pupil of freshly spilt blood – DEATH – hands twist, fingernails ripping off replaced with black claws – emotionlessness slips onto Phantom's countenance – malevolent eyes snap open, focusing – small boy, scared, in a corner –WRONGWRONGWRONGWRONG – A snarl overtakes its features – RAGERAGERAGE – china blue eyes, terrified – flies forward, mouth opens, snake tongue darts out from a fanged maw – KILLKILLKILL – clawed hand shoots forward – PAINPAINPAIN – demented mockery of a grin forms on a monsters face – the dull shock of a boy as his heart is ripped out for real this time, a boy murdered by his own ghost.
The worst part was that, even though without Plasmius' interference, it wouldn't have happened that way, but even so, all the addition of Plasmius's ghost had done to Daniel was cause him to give into the insanity, that and fast forward his ghost through 'puberty.' Even without overtaking Plasmius, Daniel would end up having the same appearance as his evil future. The possibility of his going evil would, too, be there; fusion or not. Even so, I had had come to my decision long ago.
"Me." I say, venom present in my voice. "Now, care to observe the door?" They silently float out, closing the doors with a quiet thud; perhaps finally getting through their thick skulls that I was not in the mood to put up with their dramatics today.
I drift over to an old chest, roughly hewn from a dark wood. I need not open it, already knowing what was within. 'If it was up to me, I would not put this responsibility on your shoulders, more so because of the risk of you giving in to the evil; but unfortunately, you are the only one that can do this… So, I shall simply say, good luck, young Prince…' And with that, I resumed my position in front of the time portal, restarting the viewer and observed, for because of my earlier interference I found myself near powerless to change any more then I had already. '…You'll need it.'
