100 words drabble for Enkudo07's challenge. This is actually really fun.
Sucking in a startled gasp, Sam watched the knife plunge towards him only to have it forced out again as his body folded around the blow.
"Sam!" Scrambling across the room to stop what was inevitable, Dean let Ruby's knife fly.
Two bodies then buckled and slid to the floor.
Hurrying to Sam's side he found Sam conscious and turned to see what damage was done. "Huh, I guess it's a good thing you wore that belt today." The bent metal buckle held the knife tip from penetrating any further.
When Sam looked he laughed a little. "Yeah, I guess."
