He sat sobbing at my desk for about a few minutes before I gently shook him by his shoulder.
"Hey, crying doesn't suit you, kid. Snap out of it." I said gently. He lifted up his head, trying to blink away tears in his green eyes.
"B...but I can't..." He whimpered. I sighed and sat back in my chair.
"Mr. Cosmo, I know that your side of the case seems hopeless, but trust me...with me representin you, da Fairy Council will see that you're not a godchild molestor." It must've been the wrong words to say because he started wailing again.
"Whoa whoa, I'm sorry. That wasn't my place to say that." I apologized.
"B..But it's trueeeeeee! W...what am I going t...to do M...Mr. Masonnnn? I don't wanna lose my jobbbbbbbbb!" I merely grabbed a towel and started mopping the puddle of tears on my desk calmly.
"First of all, let's calm down, and think of the evidence 'against you.'" I said as I poofed the towel away. Cosmo sat back in his chair and sniffled a little, nodding. I opened up a folder with the green-haired fairy's profile case in it, and skimmed over the paperwork. It seemed that a few days before, Cosmo had been arrested and charged with godchild molestation. It was reported as 'inappropriate touching'...and was recorded on his criminal record. I noted that to myself and closed the folder before looking back at Cosmo.
"Do you think yourself as one?" I asked. He shook his head slowly.
"N..No...I love Timmy..I love my job..I love Wanda...I don't want to lose everythingggggggg!" He wailed again. I nodded, and put the paperwork in my briefcase.
"Then Mr. Cosmo...I will prove you innocent...and get your life back to normal again." I said as I closed it and smiled. But what didn't make sense at all...was the fact that Cosmo admitted to finding himself next to Timmy...but he couldn't remember a thing...and the only reason he thought himself as a pervert was the pooferazzi getting on his case and spreading rumors. He had a court hearing next month, and if I don't get enough evidence, I wouldn't be able to win the case...and Cosmo would get fired from his godparenting job...
