This world is a troubled place. I see it every day as I watch him. I see the troubles of this village, of this world, find sanctuary upon his shoulders. And as I watch I know that there is nothing I can do for him. So I sit here and write, and wait, wait patiently for the day where I know these burdens will force his hand. That day is coming, it will be upon us soon, and I will not interfere with fate's design.

Flashback
The crosswalk light turned green and I prepared to walk. I had just gotten out of High School. Today was my last day. I had finally graduated. I was going to college.
I made my way across the long street toward the other sidewalk. It was a good day, and I was heading home to celebrate.
I walked through the city streets of Boston without a care. I was on cloud nine. Nothing could go wrong today.
There was a commotion to my right, the sound of an engine revving reached my ears. I ignored it. In this part of the city it was common to hear the 'tough guys' rev their engines to prove some sort of male superiority to the others on the street.
I kept walking. That was a mistake. The revving reached a new, deafening level, and the sound of tires squealing on asphalt soon accompanied it.
Soon the air was filled with shouts and exclamations. Some worried, some concerned, some frantic. Shouts of "Watch out!", "Look out!", "Run!", and many others rang through the air.
The people on the crosswalk with me scattered. I ran like everyone else.
There was mass hysteria and chaos. Screaming filled the air and disoriented me. I never had a chance.
SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAACCCCHHHHHHH!
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
CRASH!
And my world went black.

Well I hope you enjoyed the prologue. I know what you're gonna say, Bananarock509, go work on A Difference Lying Down. I will, it's not on hiatus, I'm just waiting for a time where I can focus purely on that story. I don't like to stop when I'm working on a chapter. No more than a day between writing periods. Anyway, this is one of my ideas and today it was just pounding at my head, so yeah. I will be doing Easter eggs, like video games, and whoever finds them all in the next two chapters plus this one, gets a sneak peak at either chapter three, or my ideas for the next chapter of A Difference Lying Down.
