"Much better, Albus," Gellert praised as they moved about his small sitting room, the warm spring air from the open window tousling the ends of their hair slightly. "A great improvement from our last lesson."
Albus grinned, adjusting his hand only slightly on the blonde's waist. He had been practicing in his spare time, in the wee hours of the night after he had put Arianna to bed. He wanted to be better, he wanted to make Gellert proud of him.
They had only recently made their relationship official, though kept secret from the public eye. However, when Gellert had seen Albus' dancing skills, or lack thereof, he immediately took it upon himself to instruct the poor man. No boyfriend of his would make him look like a fool on the dance floor, and it seemed that he definitely prevented that occurrence.
He twirled the blonde man in his arms to the music, his feet moving fluidly across the old-patterned rug on the hardwood floor in time with his partner's, before he bent him low. Gazing at him over the top of his half-moon glasses, he never thought Gellert looked better than he did now. "Well, I learnt from the best," he said softly, leaning until his mouth was just a few inches above the other man's.
He thought he saw a flicker behind his eyes, one of surprise, one of expectation, one of desire? But it was gone within minutes, Gellert's mouth adopting a lop-sided grin before he leaned slightly upwards and closed the gap.
