Chunky Kong was watching all the wild Pokemon running around on the sandy shore of DK Island, with him being a bit scared as Lanky Kong noticed this. Being that they were such good friends after their huge collecting days, the clown decided to use his charm to cheer up his cowardly companion.
"Hey dude, what's up with you?" Lanky asked while tilting himself.
Chunky trembled as he pointed forward, glancing back. "All these Pokemon... I've heard about them, but I haven't seen them up close."
"Why don't you try to catch them?"
"You mean, like a Pokemon Trainer?"
"Yeah! I can see you as one!"
A big dumb smile came across Chunky's face as he began clapping in victory. "Yeah, that's just what I need! Some Pokemon buddies for me to spend some time together with!" He then proceeded to chase after the smaller pocket monsters, with Lanky watching with his skinny arms wrapped around the back of his head.
"Another job done, if I do say so myself." Lanky congratulated himself as he spotted an Alolan Exeggutor and wrapped himself around it, deciding to enjoy the heightened view of the island as he saw several flying type Pokemon fly with the Squawks.
