This is the Prologue to a series I dreamed up. I plan to go all the way with this if I get enough people who love it. So please let me know what you think?

Dumbledore knew that eventually there would be some way to end Voldemort once and for all, so when he heard Trelawney give the prophecy of a Chosen One who will have the power to finally defeat Voldemort.
Shaking his head he shuffles the stack of files, looking at the last two on the bottom. The Potters and Longbottoms were the only families that defied Voldemort three times. He pulls out the parchment and reads the prophecy again:
"The one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches... Born to those who thrice defied him, born of siblings, the dark lord shall brand them, share his power indeed they will. Yet only one carries the power the dark lord knows not of, but do not be quick to lay blame...for the truth is never as it seems. Either must die by the hand of the other for neither can survives as the other lives."
"I must send protection to both these families before it is too late." Dumbledore thought as he paced the floor by his desk. He came to a sudden stop and pondered looking and rereading the prophecy over and over.
Next thing he knows he is sent a letter by owl mail and it speaks. "The Longbottoms have been killed their son saved by relative and the Potters slain by he who must not be named the children left there marked by him." The letter stops speaking then tears itself apart and Dumbledore quickly grabs his broom and rides off into the night towards the Dursley's to wait for Hagrid.
"Ahhhhhh" Voldemort leaves the Potters house in a flash knowing the ministry has been alerted to his foul deeds.
Sirius feels the wards from Godric Hollow come down with a painful crash, he realizes that either Peter was dead or sold them out. "He better hope he's dead." He gets on his motorbike and heads over to Godric's Hollow where he meets up with Hagrid who is taking the twins out of the rubble.
Sirius sits up on his bike and looks at Hagrid with pain written on his face. "They are all dead aren't they?"
"I am afraid so," Hagrid glumly replies
Crying silently, "Let me take them, they need their Godfather. Elena the most, she's going to remember everything that happened since she is 5 years old. Let me take my goddaughter at least?" Holding out his hands hoping for the best.
"Okay, Sirius. I will let you take only Elena, as long as you promise to keep her safe." Hagrid hesitantly replies after quickly thinking about the offer.
He lifts Elena up and puts her sleeping form in the cart attached to the bike then buckles her in. "I swear on my life that she will never be harmed." Silently thinks that now there's no way he can exact revenge but he'd rather save Elena then end up dead.
"Hagrid you need to get going. Tell Dumbledore that Elena is safe." Stepping on the starter Sirius heads home to hopefully get it ready for a child.
"Okay, I will." Hagrid says. He gets on his bike and heads toward Dumbledore.
Dumbledore looks over seeing Hagrid approach." Ahh you have the child...". He cuts himself off and looks inside the buggy car attached to Hagrid's bike that Sirius made for him last Christmas. "You only have Harry where is Elena?" He asks worried that he left her behind as he takes a look at Harry and his scar."
"Sirius wanted to take Elena." Hagrid says, "He says that since she is five she will remember the most of the incident and that she should be with her Godfather when it hits her, he swears that she will be safe though."
Dumbledore thinks things through before he speaks. "OK Hagrid take Harry to his aunt and uncle's house leave him on the doorstep and ring bell make sure they take him in... I will get in contact with Sirius... Now go " Dumbledore sends Hagrid off to do as he was told. Dumbledore writes a letter to Sirius for him to get in contact as soon as possible for terms regarding Elena Potter.
Sirius had just got Elena down for a nap, it had been a long night. He had to use Potter Ranch in Cody, Wyoming because all the Black properties were packed with dark magic and the Potters only had a few secret places in the world. Then he noticed a light shining for a second and Fawkes the phoenix appears with a note from Dumbledore wanting to discuss Elena. Pulling out his eagle quill and wrote the following address for him to apparate to:
3638 Maple Leaf Ave, Cody, WY 82414
Rolling the parchment he tied it to Fawkes and watched him disappear in flames. Sirius sighed lightly, this is going to be a long night. Dumbledore receives the parchment and quickly decides to go and meet Sirius at the Potter Ranch. A few hours later he arrives and knocks upon the door, hearing the knock Sirius answers and sees Dumbledore. "Come in but keep your voice down, I finally got Elena back to sleep. She's been screaming for Lily for over an hour, I didn't have the heart to tell her yet that Lily is gone for good."
"Good, she isn't ready yet to know. Soon, but not yet. " he says his voice low and enters the house. He strolls over to the living room area and sits on the couch. " Sirius, sit please? I want to talk about you taking care of Elena. " Dumbledore sighs and places his hands together as if clutching for dear life. He goes on about how things went and how Voldemort read the prophecy and reacted on sight and how Neville got away then he gets down to business. "I have no problem with you taking care of Elena as you are her godfather of course, but I will need some updates from time to time so I will be sending Fawkes to you from time to time. This will be our only means of communication...I urge you to please comply with this as well as when she is old enough, send her to Hogwarts where I can keep eyes on her and teach her. Of course when Harry is old enough as well he will get the letter to join Hogwarts and I will send Hagrid here too if I must".
He sits and waits, watching Sirius, looking down to the floor first thinking then back at Dumbledore, "I can abide by this but you have to do some things for me. First I need money transferred from my account in Gringotts to one here in Wyoming. Second, I want her last name changed to Black for now. I don't want anyone to know she is a Potter until the time comes. Third, I want her location kept between us except for one other. She doesn't need reporters and the like bombarding her with questions about what happened. Finally I need Remus with me, find him please?"
He gets up and grabs himself a glass of fire whiskey. Turning back he sighs, "I know you won't agree with her last name changed but I feel that for now it's the best choice until she's ready to take on being a Potter."
Dumbledore stands and ponders for what seems like hours..." Your first request I have no problem with as well as the third yet the second... I'm a bit on edge about. I don't want her thinking she is a Black when in reality she is a Potter, but if you can promise me that you will explain to her that she is a Potter but that for right now she will be a Black then I will subside my feelings and of course I shall find Remus once he is his better self. " Dumbledore hints a small smile knowing full well of Remus's condition.
Sharply looks at Dumbledore, "She will know she is a Potter, I never want her ashamed of that but I want her to grow up without others stopping her on every turn wanting to know what she remembers or how she feels."
Then realizing he's talking of Remus' furry problem he laughs, "We got a room in the basement that James made in case we all needed to come here to lay low. Specially created for furry issues, so do we have a deal?"
Dumbledore chuckles but understands where Sirius is coming from and holds his hand out. " We have a deal Sirius, now guard her with your life. I feel Voldemort will try and seek her and Harry out to break the prophecy...I must go before I am missed at Hogwarts we shall speak in a few days to see how she is doing." and as planned Sirius and Dumbledore, the Dudley's and Harry's life begins and Voldemort starts to plot his revenge. "I WILL KILL YOU HARRY AND ELENA POTTER!".
