Warm.

Ah… so comfortable.

…What time is it?

"Mm…," I open my eyes slowly, blinking at the bright sunlight that leaks into my room. Crap, that's not good. I glance at the alarm clock at the side of my bed. Eight thirty. Wait, what? I set my alarm at six! Why didn't it ring?! School starts at nine. I can still make it. Stumbling out of my bed, I enter the restroom to get ready. Hurry, hurry! I rush out of the bathroom and take off out of my dorm room, glancing at the wall clock as I do. Eight thirty-five. Pretty fast, if I do say so myself. I can still make it, maybe. Rushing into school, down the hallways that seem to stretch forever, and up the stairs, I grin in delight. Maybe I'll still be able to make it without-

"Kya! There he is!" A girl's shrill voice rang out, echoing across the hallways and probably to the floors above and below, too. Damn! I should've come earlier, when there are no students… or fans.

"Red-sama! Wait for us!" I hear, along with thousands of footsteps following me. How are they so fast?! I still have another floor to go! Come to think of it, why aren't there any elevators in this damn school? It's sponsored by the Berlitz family, for fuck's sake! Whatever, I just need to run! Up another set of stairs, down the hallway…I'm so close! There it is! My classroom! I'd never have thought I'd be so happy to see it! Skidding to a stop, I quickly slam open the classroom door, enter, and slam it back shut. Locked. Good.

"Whew," I breathe out, slumping against the door. Outside, I heard the horde of people murmur dejectedly.

"Damn, I thought we could've made it this time!"

"Yeah, since he was late…"

"He's so fast! So cool!"

"Come on, let's go back…"

The crowd slowly disperses as the students return to their classrooms. I catch my breath and wobble over to my seat. Green looks up from his book and smirks at the sight of me.

"Nice hair."

My hair…? I run my hand through the mess on my head. Ah, that's right…I didn't have time to brush it. My bedhead is pretty bad too. Oh well.

"Whatever," I mutter in response. "My alarm clock didn't ring so I didn't have time to brush it."

He snorts and looks at me. "Class is about to start. Go unlock the door."

The class bell rings and I sigh. Just another day at school…

The sun shines brightly into my eyes. Ugh... I blearily blink and rub my eyes. What was I doing...? Oh, right. I probably fell asleep in the forest. Again. I glance down. Yup. I climb down from the tree branch I was napping on and yawn. Wait. Wasn't there something I had to do? Um...ah. There was a meeting today, wasn't there? It was supposed to be around noon...twelve thirty, maybe? I glance up at the sky, partially blocked by the trees. The sun was shining high up in the sky. Oh no! I might be late! I navigate my way out of the forest and into a clearing and run up to the large building in the middle. Standing in front of the double doors, I gasp out a command.

"Ms. Cynthia's room!"

A yellow light wraps itself around me and fills my field of vision. I blink and suddenly, I'm standing in front of a door labeled with "Ms. Cynthia's Office". Four other girls notice me and smile.

"You're right on time, Yellow!" Blue says, flashing a grin. "If you were late, I'd have used it as blackmail material! Haha, just kidding!"

"Even if you say that, everyone knows that you actually would've, Blue," Crystal mutters, rolling her eyes. "Let's just go in. At this rate, all of us will be late."

Sapphire opens the door with a loud greeting.

"Heyya, Ms. Cynthia!"

"Hello, girls. Come on in," Ms. Cynthia replies, smiling. We enter the dimly lit room and gather in front of her desk.

"There's another assignment for you all."

"Another one? So soon?" I wonder aloud. "Didn't we just finish one?"

"Truthfully, this was supposed to be assigned to you all some time ago. However, we were short on manpower, so I had to assign extra work. You'll get an extra week to rest, as this mission will require you all to move into a dorm."

"A dorm?" Platinum asks, tilting her head. "Do you mean to say that we will be attending a school?"

"Yes." Ms. Cynthia nods and hands us several files. "These contain the details. And as usual, go undercover. You are dismissed."

We all bow and file out of her office. Blue grins at me and puts her hands on her hips.

"Alright! As usual, let's go to Platinum's room!" We all nod and walk down the hallway to the elevator. Once inside, Platinum pushes a pink button among the rest of the keys.

"Voice recognition required," A mechanical voice states.

"Platinum Berlitz," she replies. The voice beeps in confirmation and the elevator starts moving up. After a while, a ding! was heard, and the elevator doors opened to reveal a short hallway with five doors. Our rooms. We all wordlessly walk towards the very last door. Platinum unlocks the door and we all go inside. After Platinum comes in, Crystal clears her throat.

"All right. Let's see...the main file. Here it is. Hmm." Crystal quickly scans the text and looks up. "Basically, we're supposed to watch over some students in Dexter Academy. You know, that really prestigious school?"

Platinum nods and states, "My family has been supporting it for quite a while. I have also payed a visit before."

Crystal continues, "They all have the potential to use magic and don't know it themselves. We each get assigned two students to keep an eye on, but Yellow, you only get one. We're supposed to make sure that they don't get hurt until we can classify them; then we have to teach them how to fight, or at least defend themselves."

Sapphire frowns and grumbles something that sounds suspiciously like "What a pain". Crystal hands each of us our files. I look at mine and almost gasp, my eyes widening. Ah...it's him! I glance up to see if anyone noticed my reaction to the student I was assigned. It seems like no one noticed... I don't know whether to be relieved or not. Everyone is looking at their papers, all with different expressions on their faces. Blue has a wide grin on her face, but it seems...genuine? Curious, I try to peek at her paper, but to no avail.

Blue catches my gaze. Smiling, she announces, "I got two guys named Green and Silver." My eyes widen and I can feel a smile forming on my face. I'm happy for Blue! To be reunited with Silver like this...!

Sapphire rolled her eyes and groaned, "I gotta a dude named Ruby and he participates in contests. Ugh! And some sick kid named Wally."

"I cannot see what is so bad about contests," Platinum says with a straight face. "I was assigned two students named Diamond and Pearl."

Crystal, with a small smile on her face, added, "I got Emerald and someone named Gold." Oh, Crystal also got assigned one of her friends. How nice!

"I got someone named Red," I say.

I've never been to school before, much less a dorm. I wonder what it's like? ...Wait, it'd probably be similar to this, huh? Everyone lives in this giant castle-like building, after all. The dorms would probably be much smaller, though. Then again, Platinum's family is supporting the school... I snap out of my thoughts when Crystal tells us to start packing our things. I leave Platinum's room and head towards mine. Hmm, what do I need to bring? Let's see...

Today is the day the new transfer students come to move into the dorms. From the sound of it, they're all girls. Sweet! Although, why are they transferring in at this time of the school year? Oh well, none of my business.

"Gold!" A familiar voice yells. Isn't that Green? Are they here already?

"Coming!" I shout back. Hopping onto my skateboard, I quickly skate out of the school's lobby and into the courtyard. Green and Ruby stand at the gates of the school, aka. super fucking far away. Ugh! After a while, I finally reach the tall decorative gates that mark the academy's entrance and get off my skateboard.

"Are they here already?" I ask, looking at the road outside of the campus. Don't see anyone there.

"Not yet, but they should be soon," Green replies, glancing at his wristwatch, then at me. "And no skateboarding during school hours." Ruby mutters something that sounded like "not beautiful at all" and I open my mouth to protest when I hear an unfamiliar voice calls out to us.

"Hello! It's nice to meet 'cha! We're the new kids!"

I turn to see the "new kids" (When did they get here?) and hot damn. Five attractive girls stand in front of the open gates. A brunette with a nice figure, a petite blonde girl, a girls with dark blue hair and great legs, another brunette (Are those fangs?), and a girl with black hair and a regal aura stare at us. They all have luggage bags with them that they put on the floor.

Before I can say anything, Green responds, "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Green. We've been told to help you guys get adjusted to school life here. Don't bother introducing yourselves, we already know your names. You guys have all your stuff, right? Then follow us. The dorms are over there." He points to the right side of the courtyard, then starts walking. Wha- give us a chance to talk, will you?! I don't even know their names, what are you talking about?! I hurriedly flash a smile at the somewhat stunned new students.

"Sorry, he's kinda unfriendly to strangers, especially girls. Because of, uh, experiences. I'm Gold! It's nice to meet you!" I can't exactly tell them that he has a crazy fanclub... Ruby also takes the chance to introduce himself.

"My name is Ruby. Come on, let's catch up to him." Oh, right! Green is super far away now! I grab my skateboard and run. Wait up!

I try to take in the sight of the campus as I quickly grab my belongings and catch up to Green and Gold. This place is gigantic! As big as the meadow around headquarters! The courtyard has decorative brick tiles and an extravagant fountain in the middle. Trees, bushes, and flowers border the pathways connecting to three giant buildings. In fact, we're walking toward the building on the right side right now. Those are the dorms? My friends catch up to me and Blue taps my shoulder.

"Hey," she murmurs. "We're really lucky to meet our targets already, huh? Although, the person I wanted to see hasn't shown up yet."

I nod absentmindedly and reply, "Yeah, I know what you mean." My target, huh? Focusing on Gold, I notice that he has a skateboard with him.

"...Are skateboards allowed on campus?" I ask skeptically. Green looks over his shoulder.

"No."

"Then why do you have one with you, Gold?" The boy in question groans.

"Are you one of those super serious types? I know, I'll call you Super Serious Gal!" What?!

"Don't call me that! My name's Crystal!"

"Yeah, yeah. Calm down, Super Serious Gal." Argh! The files never described his personality, only basic information, like his name and age! I'm stuck with a hooligan! Blue giggles and I turn around ready to say something when Green speaks up.

"Do you all know the main rules here at Dexter Academy?"

"No," Yellow replies, shaking her head.

"I'll tell you then. You aren't allowed to keep pokemon out during school hours. Before and after school is when you're allowed to have them out."

Yellow glances at her bag. She really loves her pokemon, so that must be a shame.

"No fighting on campus. That goes for both pokemon and people."

Sapphire groans. No doubt she'll hate school.

"Electronics are turned off during school hours. During lunch is okay, though."

Blue grins behind her hand. Oh no.

"Boys aren't allowed to enter the girls' dorm and vice versa."

Platina nods in approval while Gold pouts.

"And lastly, no entering the forest surrounding the school unless you have permission from the principal."

Both Yellow and Sapphire frown, and suddenly we all stop. I look at the massive building in front of us. So this is the dorm...

"We're here."

"Welcome to your dorm!" Ruby says with a flourish and a wink. "The boys dorm is the building connected to it. The dorms are actually one giant building; the only thing separating the two is a thick wall. Why don't you unpack? You won't start school until tomorrow, after all."

"Prissy boy," Sapphire mutters a bit too loudly as a reaction to the wink. Gold laughs and Ruby narrows his eyes.

'What was that, you barbarian?"

"Barbarian?!"

"Yes! Just look at your clothes! They're all dirty! What have you been doing?!" I whirl around to look at Sapphire. What the-? When we arrived at the gates she was perfectly clean! She has mud on her face and her clothes!

"Who cares about mah clothes?!"

"I do," Platina calmly interjects. Woah, never expected her to do that...but then again...

"I bought those clothes for you, Sapphire. We must clean them immediately." Seeing a chance, Yellow decides to jump in too.

"L-Let's go in! We'll clean you up, Sapph," Yellow turns to the three boys watching us. "Please excuse us!" She pushes Sapphire inside the dorm while carrying their luggage. Yellow is surprisingly strong, and she's also the closest to Sapphire, due to their love for forests and pokemon. I decide to head inside too. Grabbing my luggage, I thanked Green, Gold, and Ruby and followed Yellow. This'll be a long day...

Hello! Welcome to my second story, the first one being really old! Ahem. Anyways, if you didn't notice, each line break is a change in POV, so please keep that in mind! I'll do some more explaining about magic and stuff in the next chapter, so please look forward to it! Each chapter will probably be as long as this, if not shorter, too! Sorry about that!
