It's 3491. The world has experienced wars, peace and most importantly- changes.
Centuries ago a doctor discovered a special gen, hidden in our DNS, not working like it should. He fixed with the technology they had back in these times and created a monster by just activating it.
Humans suddenly turned into wild animals, wolves, not able to control their animalistic instincts, even killing and eating other humans.
It took years, decades and small steps to fight against the gen and it cost thousands, millions of lives.
Now, still in the year 3491, the gen has been stopped successfully but unfortunately a small part stayed in the human DNS. It divides humans into ranks which are originally known to exist only in wolf packs.
Humans get divided into the typical ranks – Alpha, Beta, Omega.
From the age of 15, parents are allowed to send their children to special clinics were the doctors will trigger the gen with a special technic. A new form of gamma radiation, which won't hurt the body but will help turning without pain. Otherwise the gen will appear again in its natural, dangerous form.
Then it will get activated and changes the teens body for their associated rank.
Alphas will grew taller and muscular, their aura will have something special, something that makes them look more 'dominant'. They make 43% of the population.
The Betas are not something special, their body won't change. They make 47% and get treated normally and respected, nobody would insult them as weak. There are betas with alpha tendencies and some with omega tendencies. Only female betas can get pregnant.
And the last, the omegas, barely 10% of the earth population. They are pretty rare and need to be treated carefully. A females body won't change much when her gen gets activated but a male body will. After transforming they can get pregnant and it's normal for them to get a year every three months. At these times the chance to get pregnant is 98,88%.
But being rare isn't good, especially not at times like these. Raping omegas is normal, virgin omegas need to be hidden or they will be immediately victims of crime and violence.
They get treated like sluts and the government is helpless, having no power against the mass of strong alphas and betas.
The solution? They made a list and everyone can 'borrow' an omega legally, get him/her pregnant, take the child and then bring the omega back. He will appear again on the list until they reach the age of 38, after that they can life peacefully on their own in special dorms.
But only omegas who aren't virgins anymore will appear on these lists. The rare, virgin omegas will get treatment in special clinics and are heavily guarded.
They're reserved for the powerful people, presidents, senators, politicians, CEO's… basically people who have enough money to buy them.
They want their omegas pure to birth them healthy heirs and mostly keep them after just to give these children a mother.
So being pure was giving you better opportunities.
But still it doesn't have to make your life necessarily better.
