Hello! I would like to say a few things before starting this Ray x Emma fic.
I do not own The Promised Neverland, also, this contains TPN Manga spoilers.
I'm sorry if i spell something wrong, or make typos. This is my first fic, i wasn't really inspired to do this but kind of bored and annoyed that there isn't many The Promised Neverland Fanfics out there yet.
I'm not the best writer, give me feedback or ideas.
This is set around just before Andrew comes into play in the bunker B06-32.
Updates are at random at the moment. Will be set a schedule later on.
Chapter 1
7:14 read the grandfather clock in the corner of the room.
"Oh God! Who let me oversleep!?" Emma practically jumped out of bed and rushed out of the room to see Gilda and Don serving the children breakfast in the bunker.
"Haha.. Sorry everyone, i overslept... I promise it won't happen again!" Emma apologised to everyone in the room, bowing slightly as she said so.
"Sorry that i didn't wake you. You seemed like you needed a rest after hunting so late with Yuugo yesterday." Ray said in his calm monotone voice, as usual.
"She talks too much..." Yuugo growled, "There also wasn't any damn food except some low life demon hiding in the forest. Emma nearly had her ass eaten if i ain't of looked behind me."
"Haha, thank you, again, sir" Emma said, her signature smile spreading across her face. Ray blushed slightly seeing her face light up.
That smile.. Damn. Gets me every time... Ray thought to himself as he lay the final plate, for Emma, on the table.
"Thank you for the food!" Everyone cheerfully said in unison. Children's joyful conversations and hearty laughs filled the room as breakfast had finally been served.
"Hey Ray!" Emma beamed at him across the table
"Hm?" Ray saved his page in his book, placing it down and took a spoonful of his food.
"What'cha reading?" Emma curiously leant across the table to pick up the book and try to read the title but Ray snatched it up and held it above her reach. She pouted,
"No fair Ray!! Hmph." She plopped back down in her seat, accepting her defeat— for now.
He blushed and smiled down at her, that face, no one could say no to it.
A few hours later, Ray was found in the library, engrossed in the same book as this morning, and a whole pile of books on the table in front of him. Suddenly, a redhead's aghoe sticks out from above the tower of books, making Ray jump out of his skin.
"Emma!" He practically screamed as she revealed herself from behind the books. She giggled and sat beside him.
"You gonna tell me what you're reading yet? If you can read, that is, your hair is always covering your eye, here." She started finger-combing Ray's long fringe and started to braid it, as a finishing touch adding 2 hair clips to hold the hair in place. Ray only just noticed how close she really was to him. He blushed a little but opened the book again to try and hide it.
"There! Now you can see! Hehe! That cute hairstyle looks adorable on you!" She sat back in her seat beside him and took a book off the top of the tower.
"Emma—"
Damn, that beaming smile again... My heart skips a damn beat when i see it...
