I've been watching you. He reads the first sentence of the letter with the intensity that his life depends on it. His eyes move to go through the other words.

I see what's behind your mask. You miss her and its making you crazy. It's eating away at you, and you'll do something about it. Of course you will. For her. Right?

The letter is grimy and has pen scratches of hysterical laughing around the words.

He's scared, but he won't show it. Predictable. He's trained to keep his posture. He finally moves to reach in his pocket to take out a coin from his loved one. He looks at it lovingly, but he will never show that either.

"Why…," He whispers, "Why couldn't it be me? It was 50/50. Either her or me. 50/50. 50/50…" He repeats to himself as he silently bursts into tears. His sleeve jacket is now wet from tears.

"Mr. President.." A calm voice comes from behind the door.

"Yes, hello? What is it?" He quickly wipes his face and represses his tears.

"The board meeting.."

"Of course. I'll be right there." He smiles weakly.

As he stares blankly at the floor and prepares himself, a body moves out from the shadows. Giggles are bubbling out of the figure.

"Harvey, Harvey, Harvey…Oh, excuse me, Mr. President Harvey Dent. Did you like my letter?"

"Should've known it was you, clown." He glares and narrows his eyes at the man.

"What, did you forget about me already? I don't think you would've forgotten about me because of your…lady friend." The man pauses at the desk and wipes some dust off with a finger.

"Shut up.." Harvey says under his breath.

"I'm sure you wouldn't have forgotten about how I had that little…uh, accident… arranged." The figure smiles.

"Please…"

"You watched her die. But, all these years you've kept your cool, and tried to move on. It hasn't worked so well for your, uh, mental state, has it? You are torn up beyond repair, huh?" The man moves closer and suddenly slams his fists on the table, staring at Harvey. "You want revenge. You need it, crave it. It's the only way to get her back. It will happen, trust me, Harv." The man spits in Harvey's face.

"Tell me how I'm supposed to do that." Harvey continues to look down.

"You just do things. Dig deep inside that messed up head of yours and listen to all the voices you find. It'll happen. See you around." The man smoothly walks out, but stops outside the door to listen.

After a moment, he hears the flip of a coin and a gun cocked. He smiles.
