This is a poem I wrote a couple of years ago, during my third or so play through Solatorobo. It isn't really based off the game, but there is one chapter that inspired this poem, titled simply "Fragments of Time" That phrase was the sole inspiration for this poem, and the only reason this is under the Solatorobo category. I wrote this poem imagining a sort of dimension that appeared as though it was underwater, with shards of what looked like silvery glass or mirrors that showed fragments of the past, present, and future. I personally think this is one of my favorite poems that I've written.
Among the fragments of time,
Deep beneath the sea,
I stood staring out,
Upon my destiny.
...
Wandering,
Watching aimlessly,
Quite unintentionally,
I caught a glimpse...
...
All alone,
With the fragments of time,
Down here,
Where what I want is mine
...
I hardly know,
What I walk among.
Softly to myself I whisper,
Hardly could a sound be crisper.
...
Wishing I had the strength to stand,
Watching where the shadows land.
Watching from below the waves,
Wishing I could stay 'til the end of days...
...
But a Mortal has to be,
Strong willed such as me,
To be here below the sea,
Looking for their destiny.
...
So, unfortunately I had to go,
So unforgettable down below.
And return to the shore,
And dream of that place ever more.
