*REPOSTING THIS!*
Yo, friends! This is my first fanfiction, I guess :D YAAAAY! So, this here is a NaLu angst(?) kinda thing. I know it's NaLu week, but I'm not really participating in that… HA sorry if you were hoping for that… *AHEM* Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this and it won't suck! :3

"Natsu! Please!"
"I can't, Lucy…"
"You idiot! Why this again?!"
"I told you already. I need to go figure this out."
"FOR ANOTHER YEAR?!"
They were both silent for an awful long time and looked away from each other. When Fairy Tail disbanded, Lucy fell into a very deep depression… and it took forever to get over. But a year later from the disbandment, she found out that her best friend had came back through the Grand Magic Games arena. He actually went in and took on the "new best guild in Fiore" like it was nothing. Plus destroyed the place, of course… But despite that, Lucy was happy for the first time ever since after Tartaros, knowing that as a family, that they had took down one of the three major dark guilds out there together. So after the incident in the arena, Natsu and Lucy went on another long adventure together like they used to. They went on and gathered everyone from the guild once again. Where everyone was during the year were all unbelievable, especially where Gray was. Now that everyone is back, she felt she was at home again, where all of her nakama is finally together again...
She was truly happy.
...But recently, Natsu started going on more "jobs" than usual, so no one sees him that much anymore. What is even stranger is that he never brings Happy nor Lucy with him.
'What was going with him?' Lucy wondered.
As time passed, Natsu's hotheaded personality slowly disappeared. He stopped picking fights with his guildmates... He was always quiet and started to be distant from them... He made excuses...
Nothing was the same since.
She later found that he started having weird visions. Ones that he never understood… and frightened him so much. He never wanted anyone to know simply because he didn't want anyone to worry or be afraid. Due to these visions, he avoided everyone.
Multiple times, Lucy tried to talk to Natsu. She really wanted to help him. He won't speak to her, but when it started to get annoying, Natsu tells her:
"Don't worry about it, Lucy. It's just… random shit in my head right now."
Lucy couldn't take that as an answer. She knew that was a lie.
"Natsu. I know something else is going on with you! I want to help you get through this!"
"Lucy..."
"I haven't seen you months! MONTHS! Why are you avoiding everyone? Why are you avoiding me?"
"Lu-"
"WHY, NATSU?! You have to tell me! I am really worried about you!"
"Please don't worry. It's ok. This'll be over soon…Trust me."
Lucy sighed with frustration and uncertainty. Then she said:
"… Promise? …I miss you…"
"...I promise you."
After that, she didn't see him again until much later…
*NOW BACK TO CURRENT*
"I-I'm afraid so.." Natsu said finally.
"You have been doing this way too much!"
He grew quiet. She turned to him and looked at him; for the first time in a long time, very carefully and with worried eyes.
Natsu looked different. He looked… sad.
His hair grew crazy, much like when he came back in the arena except it was his normal length, but it's now a little bit darker with a dash of red. Then she noticed two tiny bumps starting to grow near the back of his head. Were those... horns? His eyes were no longer his normal, kind, black eyes. They were now a darker and intense red. He really did lost himself; Lucy could see that through them. His canine teeth grew sharper and looked almost… demonic. She moved on to the rest of his body. She discovered that he has small red dragon scales growing on neck, face, arms, hands, legs, and along with the rest of his body. His nails are now growing talons.
She was shocked, horrified, and confused.
"N-Natsu… What…"
"Remember those visions I told you about?"
" … Yeah?"
"Well… those were about…"
He paused and took a shaky deep breath. He continued.
"Those were about demons. To be certain, I think it's about E.N.D.. For some reason, they kept popping up in my head and for these past months, I have been trying to figure this shit out… And when I started having 'em, this happened."
Natsu pointed out his new additions to his body.
"In one of my visions, something told me that I need to settle with Zeref once and for all. I need to finish this… So because of that, he turned me into this shit. And finally the last one I had was from him himself. He said… I was E.N.D... At first, I couldn't bear or believe what the hell he was talking about. But, he explained everything to me. About my childhood. My real childhood. What my fate was coming into… "
He looked at her. She had started crying. She ran into his arms and hugged him so tightly that he couldn't quite breathe. He hugged her back; with small painful tears forming in his eyes.
'This is the last time I'm going to see you and your precious self. I am so sorry… Lucy...'
She was trembling now. She couldn't handle everything that was happening.
"I-I refuse to b-believe this, N-Natsu."
"I know, it's hard to take in…"
"IF THIS REALLY IS REAL, THEN I WANT TO COME WITH YOU! WE CAN TAKE HIM DOWN TOGETHER! THIS WILL BE OUR HARDEST BATTLE YET, BUT WE CAN KICK HIS ASS!"
Natsu couldn't take it anymore. He was so close to breaking down.
"Lucy." He said sternly, yet shaky.
"Y-YOU CAN'T. I HAVE TO DO THIS BY MYSELF. I'm so sorry, but… WHAT IF YOU DIE, LUCY?! ZEREF KILLS EVERYONE AND THING HE SEES AND TOUCHES! IT IS MUCH BETTER FOR YOU TO STAYHERE. YOU DON'T NEED TO GET INTO THIS. I WON'T LET YOU RISK YOUR LIFE! "
This was the first time Natsu had ever yelled at her. She stood there wide-eyed.
"... But it's worth being by your side, though." she finally said.
He smiled at her and lightly chuckled.
"You weirdo…"
Then he put his arms around Lucy and leaned in, where their lips met. Natsu finally got to kiss the one he had always loved since they had first met. It was long… and his last…
"What was that fo-"
"Never change, Lucy Heartfilia. You are so precious to me, ya know that? You make me happy whenever I see you. I am so glad to have met you in Hargeon. "
She smiled at him.
"Same here."
It was silent for a long time. Then Lucy finally said:
"Don't you DARE die, you hear me, Salamander?"
"Ha. I'll try not to, Luigi." His voice cracked at not.
They laughed. Then Natsu took of his scarf, HIS SCARF, and handed it to Lucy.
"H-hey, why are you giving this to me? This is YOUR scarf. Won't you be needing this?"
"Nah. I need you take of it for me for now on, alright?"
"...Natsu….Are you sure about this? It was your dad's... "
"Certain. You need to always look after this. I trust you, OK?"
"...Alright, OK."
He then turned and began to walk off.
This is it.
Lucy stood where she was.
This is the end.
He slowly turned to her one last time.
Goodbye, everyone.
Natsu had tears running down his face and gave her one last smile.
Goodbye, future.
Lucy waved to him.
"See you later, Natsu!" she said, unaware that his end was just around the corner.
"See ya… Lucy…"
Then they never saw each other again.

TBH, I am not pleased on how this turned out at all. OH MY THIS WAS SO BAD I CAN BARELY EVEN LOOK AT THIS TRASH… Well, you have a story finally, though.
