Losing Neverland

After a trip to visit Kate (the latest descendent of Wendy Darling) Peter finds himself stranded in 21st century London. Shut out of Neverland and unable to fly Peter hopes Kate can help him find out why and get back before he is gone too long.

A/N: This part is just a scene setter, chapters will be longer I promise. Let me know what you think :)

Prologue

It is a well known fact that in order to fly ones feet must actually leave the floor. It is also widely accepted that all it takes for this to happen are happy thoughts and a sprinkling of fairy dust. Peter had plenty of both these things, so his confusion at finding himself falling from the balcony rather than soaring into the air is unsurprising. His confusion quickly turned to fear as he found his body connecting painfully with the pavement below.

As he lay on the floor surrounded by a growing crowd Peter was overcome with loneliness… not because he didn't know anyone but because home suddenly seemed very far away. He could feel Neverland slowly slipping away from him, fading from his mind as though the place itself was disappearing. Something was wrong, very wrong…
