Ryan suddenly awoke without warning at the sound of the pool house phone.

"Hey Seth," Ryan says after he picks up the phone.
"Heyyy man. I was wondering if you'd like to come down to Summers place right now. I sorta left while you were sleeping. We're just hanging out here watching the forest."
"THE VALLEY," Summer scolds.
"I mean the VALLEY. Anyways you coming down here?"
"Uh…actually, I was going to meet up with Lindsey today. She wanted to talk to me about... stuff."
"I thought you were over her already…"
"I am…but she's not exactly over ME yet."
"Ah…I see. Wonder what Marissa will think of this."
"Yeah…well I gotta go. Catch up with you later."
"Alright. See ya."
Ryan hangs up the phone and looks at the time.
"10:30…" he mumbles to himself. As he changes into a shirt, he hears a knock at the door.
"Come in..."
"Hey," Marissa slips in with a smile.
"Hey," Ryan smiles back.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go down to the Crab Shack and grab some breakfast…"
"Well…I was going to meet Lindsey there."
"Oh, then I'll come along too,"
"I don't think that would be such a good idea…"
"Hey don't worry. It'll be great. I parked my car in the Cohens parking lot. Get finished dressing and I'll meet you out there."
Marissa leaves Ryan dumbfounded.
"Yeah…great…what's better than my two ex's who still like me in the same room…"
