Memorial Day Special

Steve Rogers stood in front of the World War II memorial.

As he stood there he thought about all those soldiers he had known that had died for their country and all those he hadn't known but had paid the ultimate price.

He thought about all the soldiers who had given everything in the wars he had missed.

Korea.

Vietnam.

The Gulf.

Afghanistan.

Iraq.

Pakistan.

The War on Isis and terror.

And all those who gave all in past wars such as the Revolutionary war and the Civil War.

Steve saluted the memorial and said four simple words

"Thank you for everything."

This is a companion to my other story Ben 10: Super Soldier so it takes place in that story.

I have great respect for our military and their families and I feel like we sometimes take them for granted.

So to the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard and their families and loved ones at home I thank you for your service and everything you have done and have sacrificed for the freedom we all cherish.

Also do not forget the families of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty, as they have given more than most as well since they have lost sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. To all those who have lost loved ones in defending us, I am sorry for your loss and I would like to thank you all.

For all of you reading this I want to challenge you to do something. The next time you see a soldier or veteran I would like you to walk up to them and tell them thank you for their service as it may mean more to them than you think.

Again thank all of you soldiers, veterans, and those that are at home supporting them.

You are all in my prayers.

Thank you for reading and please review, have a nice day
