Emerl sat there staring at the clone
How did he get himself in this mess?
...Right his creator... Dr Gerald had installed a program that caused any of his creations to leech onto their old body in order to give them a second chance.
Was this really his old body?
The clone looked back at him with his...no it's icy blue eyes. The eyes that used to be warm and friendly, the eyes that used to be Emerl's eyes. Emerl sighed as he looked around in his memory banks. There was only one memory that had survived. It was Emerl looking directly at Sonic behind a camera. Everyone stood around him getting ready for a picture.
"Alright Rouge move closer to Knuckles." Said Sonic as Rouge did exactly as told while Knuckles tried to hide a blush. " Tails move a bit closer to Shadow" Tails moved closer to Shadow who wore his signature unamused frown. "Cream go in front of Shadow...Ok Perfect!" Said Sonic as he clicked something on the camera and ran towards the group.
"Cheese!" Said everyone as the camera flashed. Sonic ran towards the camera and grabbed the photo and said
"Awesome! It came out great!" He showed the photo to everyone. Emerl felt so happy these people were his friends. They were his family. Suddenly his family melted away, the bright blue sky and green grass turned into cold steel walls. Sonic turned into the robot clone staring back at him. That was the only memory he had left of them.
"Hohoho" laughed a familiar someone as he walked towards them. Eggman.
"Hohoho Germerl we have very important work to do first we need to get rid of that pesky hedgehog and his friends"
The rest of his speech was washed out by the sounds of Emerl's sobs.
