Silas Mace and the Headmaster's Letter

Information:

Silas Mace is perhaps the only eleven year old boy in all of England that isn't hoping for a Hogwarts Acceptance Letter in this year of 2017. Though he's been fascinated by the Harry Potter stories ever since he was a child, now that they've been declared a thing of truth, he's trying to avoid it as much as possible. After discovering a young girl with an acceptance letter that same year, Silas' father, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, has begun a search for all things magical, convinced that Hogwarts can be found and opened for all. At first, Silas thinks he's off the hook as he didn't receive an acceptance letter by the deadline, but a few days later he finds a different letter, specially sent by the Headmistress herself! Silas then finds a way to make it into Hogwarts undetected by his father, and begins his first year.

But the peace doesn't last long. Not only are the students angry with him because of his father, but it is also discovered that McGonagall never sent the letter to him in the first place, so now he is considered a spy. After his only friend is framed for forging the letter, Silas finds himself fighting to prove not only his friend's integrity, but his own.

[This story involves a lot of characters mentioned in the Harry Potter series; Silas is enrolled the same year as Albus, Rose, and Scorpius. I didn't create a story using Albus as the main character because I hoped to add more depth if it was coming from someone other than him. I also liked the effect that came from Silas—Harry received a lot of positive attention his first year, while Silas receives somewhat negative. Silas has good experiences at home, and bad at school, while Harry has bad experiences at home, and good ones at school. They are similar personality-wise, but not quite the same; they are mostly different because of their opposite situations. And no, I'm not trying to make Silas a clean-cut copy of Harry, either. Silas is more childish, less refined, and skilled in different areas. He is also friends with a larger variety of people than Harry.]
