It had been 2 days since the Greeks landed at Camp Jupiter. Percy came up with a great idea to hold an introductory party. He had taken utmost care to avoid incident, and so far it was going great. Bacchus himself would have been jealous of this party.

"… so then we climbed all the way up this mountain," Leo said. " and-woaaahhh" He fell off the picnic table, spilling his beer all over himself.

"Nice one Leo!" Frank said in between bursts of laughter.

"Shut up!"

Leo stood up and muttered something about elephants. Percy smirked at the scene. He crossed the mess hall and was about to grab a drink when he heard it.

"What in Hades is this?"

Percy turned around to see a very pissed off Reyna. He looked around for support but he was met with nothing but stifled grins. Jason mouthed something that looked like "Goodbye." Percy shot his best death glare at him.

"I uhhh-"

"Come with me right now!" She steamed. Percy said nothing as he followed her to the praetor's hall. He immediately began scanning the room for escape routes. As his eyes darted around the room, he took note of the very sharp looking dagger resting on the table. Reyna was known for her ruthlessness and though she had been nicer to him since he saved the camp, he still had the feeling that she could stab him without batting an eye.

"We are in the middle of a war, and you are having parties?" She yelled. "You have only been praetor for 3 days, and you are already disrupting everything!"

Percy needed time to think or he wasn't going to survive. Suddenly, in a moment of stupidity, he spoke.

"It's just a party. I was building relations between the two camps." He said. "You're being a knobjob. Lighten up"

Percy had fought Kronos, spent time alone with a mummified oracle, and been attacked by the Furies. He had battled drakons, titans, and giants. But none of these monsters were as terrible as the look in Reyna's eyes.

"What. Did. You. SAY?" She yelled.

Percy's chances of survival were looking increasingly slim. But he knew that if he backed down now, there would be no chance.

"I said that you should lighten up" He stated calmly.

Reyna was completely taken aback. Percy hatched a plan that was more crazy than Luke's mom.

"I do not need to lighten up." Reyna said. " I am simply sayi-" Percy cut her off with a kiss. Her eyes widened and he broke it off. Percy knew that he had about 8 seconds before she regained herself. That escape route was going to come in handy now.

"I- I" Reyna stuttered.

"Time to go." Percy bolted out the window, using a wall of water to propel himself away. As he sped away, he heard a distant shout.

"PERCCYY"
