Rainy Day Activity

Looking out the window Michael saw that the rain was pouring down on the city of Chicago and no sign of stopping any time soon. He walked into the main room of the apartment he shared with Sara and saw her sitting on the couch reading a book. He smiled at her and she looks at him and raised her eyebrow at him. "Are you ready?" Michael asked her.

Sara jumped off the couch and nodded excitedly, "I been ready to do this for a long time."

"Okay here we go."

Sara looks at him funny "Is that it?"

Michael chuckled "Yeah"

"It looks small"

"No it's the right size," Michael told her.

"I don't think so it shouldn't be that small."

Michael let out a sigh "It's not too small and I done this like a million times and this size works for me."

"Ok if you say so," Sara said not all convinced. "Now what do I do?"

"Well come over here and follow my fingers" he told her.

"Like this?"

"Yes like that, be gentle"

"I am" Sara snapped

"Whoa not so far, back up"

"There?"

"A little more" Michael says "A little more"

"How's that?"

"Oh that's almost perfect"

"What do you mean almost?'

Michael was now getting frustrated with her. "Here let me show you"

"See."

"Michael that's what I did."

"Not exactly."

"Well that's what you showed me, so you taught me wrong." Sara stated.

"No you weren't listening."

"I was too and stop yelling at me"

"I'm not yelling Sara"

"Yes you are and if you don't calm down I'll get Lincoln so show me how to do it right because you can't"

"I can now lets just start over"

"I still think it's too small Michael."

"It's not, now try doing it this way."

"Okay, How's that?"

"Better, now bring it this way"

"Like that?"

"Yes like that, see your getting it"

"Walla, oh wow I did it! Aw it's so cute"

"I told you the origami crane wasn't that hard." Michael said with a smile.

"I guess the paper is the right size then." Sara giggled. "So when do I get to learn how to do the rose?"

"I think you should practice the crane a few more times Sara. I don't think your ready for the rose yet." He gave her a kiss and wondered into the kitchen while Sara tried it again.
