Abigail was sat in school beside the sandpit, looking around with sad eyes.
It was her first day, and the little girl didn't know anyone yet- it was kinda scary. As a pair of boisterous boys started to approach, she moved and sat away from them, staring out the window.
Then there was a tap on her shoulder. Abby looked around, her earth green eyes wide. Then she saw a little girl of her own age with long dark brown hair, which had a slight red tint to it, and big bronze eyes.
The girl grinned, offering Abby a tray of cookies. She smiled, then took one, then turned back to the window.
When the little bronze eyed girl had finished the cookie round, she went back over to the girl by the window.
'Hi.' She grinned. The girl looked around, eyes full of tears. The bronze eyed girl blinked in surprise. 'Are you ok?' She asked, her eyes widening.
She nodded, then said, bottom lip wobbling. 'No one likes me...' The bronze eyed girl stared for a moment, then grinned. 'I like you.' Abigail looked up, smiling a little. 'I like you too.'
The bronze eyed girl grinned again. 'I'm Phoenix Agate.' Abby nodded. 'I'm Abigail.' Phoenixes grin widened. 'Want to play in the sand Abby?'
Abby's face started to twitch into a smile. 'Ok.' she said, following her new friend.
Phoenix was giggling as she and Abby had a race to build the biggest sandcastle. Then a boy came over and shoved Abby out the way, going. 'My turn!'
Abby scowled, then the lights started flickering.
But something else beat her to it- the boy yelled in fear, staring at Phoenix. Abby frowned now, then looked at Phoenix, who was smirking in a way her daddy did before he made something funny happen.
Then they gasped at the same time, looking at each other- the other girl had wings!
Abby's eyes widened. 'You're an angel like my daddy!'
Phoenixes eyes were also wide as she said. 'My daddy's an angel too!'
The girls stared at each other- other than Phoenix, whose siblings were all angels, neither had met one their own age.
Phoenix laughed. 'My daddy likes playing tricks on people! He taught me how to scare bullies!' Abby laughed too. 'My daddy likes to play tricks too!'
The little angels played with each other all day, making up tricks to play on the teachers and bullies.
So when the end of school arrived, the girls were reluctant to leave each other, but they had too.
Phoenix ran over to her mommy, going. 'Mommy! I met another angel girl today! Her name was Abby! She had wings like me!'
Sarah chuckled, picking her up. 'Very nice darling, now lets go home- daddy'll be back soon.'
Abigail waited by the gate a moment, then felt someone pick her up- her daddy.
'Guess what daddy?' She said excitedly. Gabriel grinned. 'You had a good first day at school?' Abby laughed, then said. 'I met another angel! She was like me and you daddy!'
Gabriel chuckled- kids. 'What was her name?'
Abigail giggled. 'Phoenix Agate.'
Gabriel stopped dead, turning around and spying Sarah walking with Phoenix in her arms.
Damnit! He thought. He'd forgotten that this was the school Nixxy went... sure- his daughters could play and crap...
But if Annie found out, or Sarah for that matter...
He could kiss his candy loving ass goodbye
A little preseent for my dear friend AuntMo! Thought it'd be cute if Nixxy and Abby met, hope ya like it! X Nic
