Their marriage is the first of its kind, and it's only fitting that it should be them. After all, they started everything for which this rich, new land has been formed. One created the island itself; the other is the reason why every smiling face is gathered here. He's a father to all those who are gathered today on this most joyous occasion except for the one holding his hand. They started it all, and now, they're truly starting a fabulous future together, one which everybody knows is going to be brighter than either of their dreams ever were alone.
Kurt's blue, furry tail is busily swishing back and forth behind his stoic appearance as he reads from the Good Book. His yellow eyes are misting with tears, as are almost every other pair of eyes on this island. Every one is gathered, smiling, and trying their best to get along. Even Wolverine is ignoring Cyclops and Emma is crying as Charles and Erik speak their marriage vows. His grin bursting, Kurt fulfills the most sacred honor with which he's ever been entrusted, announcing them husband and husband. They smile and kiss, and the whole island bursts alive with applause.
