The Two Lovers Fate

One Shot

All of the 18 year old's of Shikon High flocked to the highschool prom that night.

Kikyou had on a simple white dress that night with a bright red bow tied up in her soft thin midnight black hair. She looked like a ghost as she floated across the floor with her white complection. She was alone as usual. She helps people out but she never let anyone help and get to know her. So she was alone.

Inuyasha sat in a tree outside of the gym where the prom was being held. He wore his usual ragged red outfit. His haunting yellow eyes were locked on the crescent moon as the moon's light shined gloriously on top his silverier white hair.

Kikyou was tired giving people warm hello's and wishing them a great time with there dates. She needed air. Ever since the school choose her as the caretaker to everyone, she needed air. She was suffocated. She just needed air.

Kikyou walked outside and leaned against a near by tree. Her eyes narrowed when a red blur jumped down from the tree she was resting on. "Chill women, I'm not going to hurt you." Inuyasha mumbled angrily. "I know." Kikyou stated simply and continued her rest. "What? Not scared of the school badass like everyone else." Inuyasha spat bitterly. "No, because I know what it's like to have the shikon school manipulate you into caring a title that makes you wonder how long you can last until you break." Kikyou sighed. She then weakly smiled at Inuyasha. "Women we all have are burden to bare." Inuyasha snapped. "I know." Kikyou mumbled sadly. She then looked toward the moon. 'Great going!' Inuyasha yelled in his head. "Would you er..." Inuyasha mumbled. "Yes?" "Kikyou asked not un locking her gaze from the moon. Inuyasha stared at her creamy complection that looked even better with the moonlight shining on it. "Would you like to dance?" Inuyasha asked quietly. "Yes I would." Kikyou said giving Inuyasha a kind look.

The whisked each other across the dance floor. Most people stopped to look their graceful steps. They were in love. Naraku was watching and as he always says over his dead victims "All good things must come to an end."

The Night Before The Lovers Wedding

Kikyou was bleeding beyond repair. Memories of her and Inuyasha's first meeting flashed in her head. 'Why? How could he? The traitor?' Kikyou screamed in her head. "Why did you betray me Inuyasha?" Kikyou yelled. Inuyasha ran by a tree and bang, Kikyou pulled the trigger on her gun. "Kikyou!" Inuyasha yelled as his last words. "Inuyasha" Kikyou cried as her own last words. A distant chuckle could be herd. It was harsh, cold, and un caring. Naraku appeared in the darkness and took a taste of Inuyasha and Kikyou's blood that spilled onto the streets. "All good things must come to an end." Naraku cheered coldly. A jewel that laid dormant in Kikyou soul opened a whole in the ground and took Naraku to hell. He chuckled his sinister laugh the whole way down. The only thing left were the two lovers lying dead in the street. Except this time the were in each other arms as the crescent moonlight shined upon them.
