The Watching Saviour
I stand here.
Watching.
I am a mystery, An Enigma.
I have been put upon this world for a reason.
To accomplish the greatest act a man can do.
This is the power of God in me.
I am He, and He is Me.
I came to summon all peoples through my blood,
And yet they walk away.
Do they not see that the Father is angry with them?
They turn their eyes and their hearts upon themselves.
They ignore all good things, turning to the evil in themselves.
It is sad. They were the crowing achievement of creation,
And yet they consider themselves greater than their Maker.
The time will come when they will face me in judgement,
and with a heavy heart I must pronounce them guilty.
Those who do know me, do not share me.
For this, they should be ashamed, for how
Could the world know Me if they are not told?
Can it be that those who accept me and my teachings
Have a cowardly heart?
I came, the bravest of men.
I faced death, and yes, was even killed,
Yet they fear to do the same.
COWARDS! The lot of you.
"There is no greater Love than this."
I told you,
"That a man lay down his life for his friends."
I consider all of mankind my friends,
Even those that did me harm,
I loved like brothers.
What has become of My Word, and My work?
They hide in buildings, pretending to worship Me.
If you wish to worship Me, go out. Show the world
Who I am. That is the worship I desire.
Not your songs.
