So this is a fanfic for my friend iggyasia who suggested that I do this and since I don't really have any other ideas, here goes!
L and Light take a walk
During a time where people are being murdered by an unknown killer, named Kira, investigations for the world-renown and mysterious L were getting harder. Everyday a new clue pops up, it seems to contradict everything that he's said about Kira. He suspects a man by the name of Light Yagami, whose father is in charge of the police department and part of the Kira case. Why? He does not only seem too innocent, he also would have access to the information about the Kira case. But more importantly, he's just as smart as L.
"Light, I have a suspicion that you are Kira. Do you deny it?"
"I don't deny that you have a suspicion, but I do deny being Kira. Why would you think that?"
"My reasons are strictly confidential but… I need to know if you would be willing to prove yourself innocent."
"Of course! I will do whatever it takes to prove myself innocent!"
"Well then." L said digging in his drawer "Come here for a moment."
Light walked over but looking extremely suspicious.
"Put your right hand out." L commanded and Light obeyed. Then L put a handcuff on his right hand and the other was on L's left hand.
"What the-"
"If you want to prove yourself innocent then you must spend 24/7 with me. If I die that means, you are Kira or if I find anything suspicious about you, then you are Kira. If not then you will be cleared with my apologies."
Light looked at him for a moment but then sighed "fine. Like I said, I will do anything to convince you that I'm not Kira."
A few weeks later, they were exhausted. Being together meant a lot more than either of them had anticipated but they held out strong. 'Just one more day' was all they could think about. But, secretly, L had grown attached to Light, much to L's dismay. Light was a suspect. A charming, handsome, smart suspect but a suspect none the less. Every night, L would lie awake trying to sort out his feelings but to no avail. He always fell asleep wishing that they weren't there because they had to but that they were there because they wanted to.
"Hey, L?" Light asked as he looked up from the fridge. "Can we go to the market? We're out of milk."
"Oh, um, sure." L said. 'Maybe…'
As they were walking they kept silent. There was nothing to be said and they both like the silence. It was a peaceful way to think. As they reached the store, they made their way to the dairy section and picked up the milk. When they were waiting to pay, they saw a couple holding hands and laughing. 'I wish that maybe we could be that way.' L thought as he stared longingly at them.
"What?" Light said
'Oh crap. I said that outloud didn't I' L thought
"Yeah you did." Light said.
"Umm I can explain." L said turning red.
"There's no need to. It's fine. Let's just get the milk and go." Light said.
L looked at Light. He had no facial expression on but if L had to guess, he was disgusted.
They walked home in silence again but this time, instead of being peaceful, it was suffocating for L.
As they walked in the house, L wanted to cry but he couldn't go anywhere without Light so he kept it in. One more day, right? He heard the door close.
"Hey L." Light said and L turned around to face him expecting a punch to the face.
"Yeah Li-" and was kissed on the lips. He was shocked. He thought Light didn't like him! Then again, he was a master of hiding things. He kissed back passionately.
They broke away and Light whispered in L's ear: "I wouldn't mind being handcuffed to you for a little longer."
L couldn't agree more.
OK... well that's over... I usually don't support pairings for Death Note (though I have watched it) so I mainly just tried to stay with the characters. Please review anyways!
