When Gaia was created by a set of spirits, more powerful than the universe had ever seen and more complex than the universe could understand, it was peaceful for the most part. Small villages were brought up. Animals thrived in colonies. The world had balance unseen before. This balance was a scale of 3. The Hallow, the Crimson, and the Purity. There, however, were other minor spirits.

The Purity was a normal landscape, filled with trees and bunnies. The occasional slime appears, created from an ever growing colony of bacteria. While slimes are mostly harmless, Night brings new terrors. Zombies and Demon Eyes from previous slain heroes and villages sprout from the ground, looking for a new addition to the topsoil. But for the most part, the Purity is the most calm of the biomes. Any creature on the surface is a follower of the Purity Spirit.

A large part of the Purity is the Sky-lands. A large race of humanoid flying creatures named Harpies live here, defending their floating islands and treasures from anyone foolish enough to challenge them to a battle. However, if one is to brave the floating islands, they can find powerful items. A sword, A Horseshoe, and a Balloon. While they do not seem that impressive, they are some of the more powerful items. Harpies are followers of the Air Spirit.

Another biome, Hell, is stretched across the entire bottom of the world, and is right above the core. With its bubbling magma and its demons, it also houses another race of Humanoid creatures. The Flare-wings. Like harpies, they will duel anyone foolish enough to attempt to steal the sacred Murasama from them. They are the ungodly protectors of the Underworld, and faithful followers of the Fire Spirit.

The Crimson, however, is not as calm. At all hours of time, the Crimson is chaotically spreading to living beings, creating Crimeras and Crimulan Blight Slimes at every opportunity. While normal slimes are simply natural bacterial colonies, Crimulan Blight Slimes are pure crimulan water and blood. However, these creatures are no less natural than the Purity. The Crimson creatures are followers of the Crimson Spirit.

The Hallow was a child's dream. Pixies and unicorns run rampant, albeit much more violent than a simple kids cartoon could let in on. However, before the Great Seal, the Hallow was much more mellowed out. Welcoming most life and creating even more. However, after the Great Seal, the Hallowed Spirit became increasingly insane, even turning on its own cult.

The Great Seal was the greatest mistake Gaia had ever seen. A great disturbance happened, all of the spirits clashing in a legendary battle that shook the universe to each corner. The Fire Spirit, attempting to end the war forever, tried to control the spirits by sealing away some of their power. However, instead of controlling the power and ending the war, the Spirits were bound eternally to a curse. The Fire Spirit's power was sealed away with it, ending the war.

Today, the effects are found all around. The power from the world is fading, the magic bleeding away from the lack of influence from the Spirits. The Cults that were formed for the spirits bicker and battle, challenging each other's beliefs. For some, they had accepted their fate. For others, they believed that if someone with enough will or power could step in, Gaia could be returned to its former glory. . .
