TMNT: Born Again
He looked out of the widow as the cab made its way down the streets of New York city. It had been five years since he left and he was a little nervous about being back. He had left to get away from everything and try to start a new life. It seemed fitting that his new life brought him back here. He had so many memories here, some good, some bad. While he was here he wanted to make sure that he made ammends for the wrong that he had done before he left. The very thought of seeing everyone made him a little scared. He didn't know how they would react when they saw him. The cab driver saw the man looking out the widow, in deep thought, and decided to make some conversation.
"So, what brings you to New York?" the cab driver asked.
"Oh, I am here on business and I wanted to drop in on some old friends as well" the man replied.
"That is good. It is always a blessing to see old friends again" the cab driver replied.
"True but me and the old friends I am talking about were not on good terms when I was last here" the man told him.
"Well there is time to ask for forgiveness, whoever was at fault" the cab driver said.
"I was the one at fault and I do hope that they do forgive me" the man replied.
"Well, if they are good people then I am sure that they will" the cab driver told him.
"Thanks" the man smiled from the back seat. The cab pulled to a stop and the man handed the cab driver a fifty and then stepped out of the cab.
"Here is your change sir" the cab driver said and handed the change towards the man.
"No, keep it. Thank you for the conversation. Have a blessed day" the man smiled.
"Thank you sir, and the same to you" the cab driver smiled back and then waved goodbye and drove away. The man waved back and watched as the cab drove away and then looked up at the sign above the store in front of him
"Second time around. It has been a long time since I seen this place" the man said and walked inside.
April walked out of the back of the shop with a new vase that she wanted to put on display. She had found it in an old flea market and could not believe her luck when she was able to see how much it was worth after looking it up. It had been three years since her and Casey had tied the knot and things were going great. She suddenly heard a crash in the back room, almost great, she thought to herself.
"Sorry babe" Casey said from the back room. April just rolled her eyes, she heard the front door open and her eyes went wide when she saw who entered.
"Hello Mrs. O'Neil" the man said politely.
"Casey, get out here now!" April yelled to her husband. In an instant Casey was in the room and his eyes went wide as well but then they narrowed and he turned and grabbed a bat he kept by the door to the back room.
"Hun!" Casey said with venom in his voice.
"Hello Mr. Jones. Please, there is no need for the bat. And it is Pastor Hun now"
