Author's Note: I wanted to do a GaLe one-shot so, I came up with this little thing. Hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail, but I feel like it owns me, y'know in terms of my addiction. O.o
It was impossible.
He couldn't take his eyes off her. Every move she made. It was so mesmerising. He'd always find himself sitting at the same table as her and he'd end up just watching her while she read one of her precious books. He'd watch the expressions she'd make while her eyes skimmed over the novel she held. The way her blue hair would move slightly every time she moved to get comfortable.
Gajeel couldn't help watching his Shrimp every moment he could.
Sure, he always teased her. Sure, he acted like a jerk sometimes, but he admired her immensly. Maybe even liked her more than he felt he should. Who wouldn't though? She was smart, cute, extremely nice, and cared just too much for her friends. She cared too much for him.
Hey, he knew he should move on from the past. Honestly, he wasn't that mopey emo guy you'd find dwelling over the bad things in life. He wasn't even like Jellal who pushed Erza away just because of his guilt (Mavis knows she doesn't care about his past.), but Gajeel couldn't help, but be afraid of becoming that kind of person again. A person who doesn't value friends or lives.
He knew he changed, for the better even, it's just that he didn't feel he was allowed to feel that way because he hurt her. He almost killed her (and her teammates).
Still, as he sit there across from her once again, munching on an iron bar, his blood red eyes followed Levy, completely entranced.
"Gajeel?" Levy spoke, looking up from another one of her novels and snapping Gajeel out of his musings.
He grunted back, acknowledging her.
"Are you okay? You've been like that for a while now."
"Yeah, I'm fine, Shrimp."
The bookwork hesitantly replied with an 'okay' and went back to reading her book, 'Beauty and the Beast'.
Okay, rage all you want over the length, but I'm not very good at writing long one-shots. Anyway, did you like it? Did you not? Let me know in the reviews and don't forget to follow and favorite.
Signing out, Cop.
