Pokemon mystery dungeon I miss you, a pokémon fanfic

SO, people, I was playing Pokémon (what else?) and I thought this song would go GREAT with the ending of the Mystery Dungeon spinoff series! People don't like Miley Cyrus anymore, but this song is SO PERFECT! Natures will not match up to the Pokémon (I mean as in the personality quiz).

A Piplup sat alone on the beach. His eyes brimmed with tears. "Emi, why? Why didn't you tell me what would happen?" He remembered his battle against Primal Dialga with his best friend, Emi (a Vulpix).

You used to call me your angel
Said I was sent straight down from Heaven.

Piplup and Emi had been best friends ever since the day they met on the beach. Emi had been out cold and revealed she had been human. The two began to trust each other about anything…

You'd hold me close in your arms
I loved the way you felt so strong
I never wanted you to leave
I wanted you to stay here holding me.

Emi had often hugged Piplup for pure joy, excitement, sorrow, or just regular happiness. He didn't mind, it was part of her jolly nature.

Piplup cried now more often than before. Life had a different feel to it now. Treasure Town was not as cheerful anymore. Everyone else had cried, but they moved on eventually.

Emi had always listened contentedly to Piplup when he talked about the Relic Fragment or told the legends he loved. "It was because of Emi," Piplup thought, "that I got to become an explorer. She helped work up the courage to join the guild."

I'm thinking back on the past
It's true that time is flying by too fast!

Piplup's eyes filled with fresh tears. His time with Emi had been short.

I know you're in a better place, (yeah)
But I wish that I could see your face (oh)
I know you are where you need to be
Even though it's not here with me!

Piplup wondered what it's like for Emi right now. She was in the great beyond. He wished more than anything to see her face or hear her laugh. Emi had saved time, erasing her existence and leaving Piplup alone.

Bidoof ran up to Piplup, sweating and panting. "Hey! What are you doing here?" Piplup walked over to him, but fell on his shoulder while crying. Bidoof awkwardly tried to comfort his friend.

Suddenly, a glowing light appeared aside Piplup and Bidoof. When it faded, an unconscious Emi stood there and collapsed in the sand. When she opened her eyes and stood up a moment later, she saw Piplup crying on Bidoof. He gasped and Piplup turned around. He tackled Emi and they laughed, overjoyed to see each other again.
