It's really short, but it was one of my very first and the idea struck me during school at the computer lab. I didn't have a lot of time. Plus, I thought it would be funnier shorter instead of dragged out.

Mello was sitting at his desk, doing his math work, and man was it hard! He was hunched over, sweating from the concentration. "Dammit! This doesn't make any sense!" Mello grunted under his breath. A voice sounded from behind him.

"Need some help, Mello?" The short, white-haired boy asked, his voice emotionless. As always. Damn, did Near piss Mello off. He always had to shove his "superior mental power" in his face.

"No Near, I don't need any help. Not from you, at least." Mello said, stretching up away from his desk. Near peered over his sholder.

"Actually, I think you do." Near commented, unable to hide the humor from his voice.

"And why do you say that?" Mello said, quite obviously pissed off.

"Well, the rest of the class isworking on pre-calculus." Mello stiffined. Shit.

"Uh…"

"I believe those still struggling with long division would be… ah, yes in the elementry school." Near smiled and turned away. "By the way, 24 divided by 4 is 6, not 8. That would probably be where your problem lies." Mello grumbled under his breath as the rest of the class laughed under theirs. He was going to kill that bastard someday.
