Dedicated to my amazing beta, Tamora Pierce Junior, who is back from her vacation finally. I have missed you, I'm sure my readers have too.
And to Eloise, because you're more than just a name.
Blackwater poem!
--
My breath is white,
visible in the frigid air.
I try to contain the shivers
either of sadness or cold
I cannot tell.
The wind blows against my hair
and takes away the hope
that you will ever come.
The trees are bare
but the snow is gone.
The air is cold,
I'm still here.
The promise of Spring;
the one you never kept.
I see the children laughing
as I walk by.
I wonder,
if those smiles will ever stay.
Or, if like mine,
they will eventually fade away.
The air is warm again,
the sun is out once more.
You never did come,
my tears never did fall.
I knew you wouldn't,
though I had hoped.
But I am older now,
and if growing up has taught me anything,
it is that people change,
move on,
even if you don't.
So, while you left to see the world
like we were supposed to,
together.
I stayed here,
like I knew I would.
Because I was the girl that couldn't.
And you were the boy that could.
So winter is here again,
and so am I.
Not that I ever left.

Alright, here I am again, I know you've missed me. --grins--
impending projects:
Les Étoiles --Blackwater one-shot. In French. Leah likes to see Jacob suffer, or maybe, she just likes to kiss him.
And Juliet is the Sun-- chapter for New Life. I know I haven't updated in ages but it is almost done. hang in there faithful readers!
Untitled --one-shot. Exploring the short relationship of a noble girl and her maid, mentioned briefly in Trickster's Queen when a Darking reports to Aly to having seen them kissed. Rated T or M.
Final Battle --Final chapter of Lady Knight Adventures. Warning: character death. Coming up very soon.
I know it's been ages since you've heard from me, for that I am sorry. My beta is back from vacation and I am in the middle of a very difficult series of projects for school. Including a website made entirely from HTML codes and a very hard Strings test next week. Not to forget the Swedish song I have to learn on the guitar for a talent show I don't want to be part of. I apologize but several things are almost done and posted, just bear with me.
I hope you liked it,
Review!
