Blah blah blah. Not mine.
Kinda Blade-ish. Hope you don't mind.
Bella's about 21 years old ( as are Edward and John)
Have fun!

Bella looked at herself in the mirror unhappily. "Did it really have to be leather, John?"
She picked at the cloth with a sigh. John frowned slightly, continuing to type something into his laptop. "It's not 'regular' leather, Bella, how often do I have to tell you this? It works brilliantly against their spiky little teeth." He shot a glance at her reflection in the mirror. "Besides, it looks really good on you. Ouch!"
The book that had hit his head ended up in his lap. "What's this?", he asked, examining it closely. "'All About Vampires'?"
The brunette nodded eagerly, zipping up her leather jacket. "I bought it at that Goth Shop around the corner. Weird people, I have to admit. But still, you never know how much the people really know."
John snorted, finally turning away from the computer screen. "They know nothing. Those people would probably throw garlic at them to protect themselves."
"I once knew a vampire who didn't like garlic, you know", Bella said and walked over to the lime green couch by the wall.
"I don't like garlic. Does that make me a vampire?", the whitish blond retorted, taking the seat next to her. She chuckled quietly. Some would say it sounded kind of bitter …
"Well, John, you used to be one after all."
It took him a moment to respond to that, John hated to be reminded of his past. "Oh how I despise you, Isabella Swan." But his eyes twinkled.
A grin slowly spreading on her pale face, Bella winked at her friend. "You know you love me." She paused. "Although I think it's because of the leather …"
They both erupted in laughter before a loud ringing sound silenced them. John was the first to reach the cell phone and flipped it open expectantly. "Hello?"
"John? It's Charlie. Get your stuff, there's a couple of vampires at the Trinks Hotel."
The expression on the blonde's face immediately hardened as Bella pressed her ear against the back of the phone. "How many?"
"Two. Maybe three."
"Got it. We'll call you later, Charlie." John flipped the mobile shut, his eyes on Bella. "Did you hear everything?" She nodded quickly. "Let's go then."
Grabbing four vials filled with a clear liquid from a table nearby and putting them in her pocket, she tore open the cupboard and chose a large dagger to put in a halter on her pants.
In the meantime John had collected his jacket, a pair of reddish shades and two pistols with silver bullets and was now waiting for Bella at the door. "Come on, hurry."
She grabbed a metal bow and arrows, stuffing them in her backpack. The brunette hurried to the door, giving her fellow a short nod before escaping from the apartment, John at her heels.
