A/N: Hey. I was bored and in need of some therapy, so I wrote this.
My brother was like this before he died, but he had a different type of cancer, so I don't know if it would be the same. But nonetheless, if it isn't, then assume it's the medication.
I don't own TFiOS.
Confused
Augustus Waters was his name. That's all he could remember at that moment. His name. He had a very old-fashioned name, didn't he? It kinda sounded like a month's name too.
And there was a beeping, a very annoying beeping sound that seemed to be inside his head, but that was impossible... Wasn't it?
He was in a hospital, right, he forgot. He opened his eyes and quickly closed them again. Damn that light was bright! There were sparks dancing in front of his eyes.
Why did a hospital have lights that bright? What the hell? Could they have creepy lighting like in most horror movies including a hospital.
He shook his head, only it was more like a shudder running through sickly pale cheeks. Could cheeks shudder? He remembered once he saw a fat man shake his head and his cheeks wobbled around like jelly. Did he look like that when he shook his head? Was his face jelly too?
"Hey," Someone said. He knew that voice. She was pale too, and she nubbins in her nose, and she... She had short brown hair. What was her name again? He couldn't remember, but he knew he loved her. She was the one he'd been writing that thing for.
The patient opened his eyes, and met her eyes. He smiled. Hazel Grace, that was her name. She had an Augustus fetish. What was an Augustus?
Where the hell was his leg?
Right, it was cut off. Cancer. Stupid cancer.
"How are you feeling?" She asked again. He'd forgotten she was there. Who was she again?
"Fine," He said, "Confused."
"I'm Hazel," She said softly, and he knew she was sad, he'd forgotten her.
"How many times have I forgotten you?" He asked guiltily.
"That doesn't matter," She said kindly, taking his hand, he thought she felt familiar.
"I love you," He said, "I don't know why, but I do."
"Okay." She said, not taking her eyes off him.
"Okay." He smiled. He closed his eyes again, he was tired.
He thought he felt someone kiss him before the warmth in his hand disappeared.
Maybe he'd be okay.
. . .
A/N: Please review.
