Prologue
The large black dog howled into the night, although, it was not as much a howl as, something else, a sound that sent shivers down the spines of any who heard it, and made all things stop, only for a moment, only long enough to leave it's terrible mark upon their souls. If it had been able to grin it would have, but a creature such as it would never show signs of joy, for it was all that was not Hope, and all that was not good.
