Plot bunny: This plot bunny thought it would be funny to jump into a water puddle during a thunderstorm and get me soaking wet.

Note: This plot bunny *really did* bite me as I was walking in the rain to the library one afternoon! Honest!
Author's note: This would work best as a cartoon, but since I can hardly even draw a stick-figure, I'll have to try to present this in words and hope the mental picture comes across.

...The Sith Lord led the elder Jedi Master and his Padawan on a tormented chase through the rain-slicked streets of the capitol city. Their robes soaked through and weighed down with water had long-since been shed.

The thunderstorm grew in intensity as the Jedi followed, alternately Force-blocking obstacles the Sith threw at them, or returning the favor in kind. They Force-jumped over water filled potholes large enough to drown a bantha.

The Sith turned a corner and immediately came slip-sliding to a halt. Cursing loudly in a voice drowned out by the brutal wind he saw his tactical error. It was a dead-end. There was no where to go and nothing left to do but face his enemies.

Lightening flashed brightly to momentarily blind the three combatants. As the after-bright from the lightening faded from the Master's eyes he saw the same intense light blazing in the young Sith's fiery eyes.

The concussion from a thunder-blast blew out the windows surrounding them. The noise rang in their ears long after the initial blast faded. Lightening strike after lightening strike burned the air around them and in their lungs as each fought to catch their breath. The rain came down in thick torrents as the brutal wind propelled it parallel to the ground. The icy blades of water sliced their skin.

The Dark Lord brought his lightsabre to bare. As one, the dual blood-red blades erupted to life.

Simultaneously, the Jedi Master ignited his 'sabre. The green blade burst forth and he prepared to do battle.

The Padawan swung his weapon up before him and thumbed it on. Instantly, a blur of black sprang up before him.

Qui-Gon slapped one hand against his forehead.

Darth Maul fell to his knees laughing.

Obi-Wan just stood there - looking at the black, automatic pop-up, folding umbrella in his hand.

Maul continued laughing. He laughed so hard he could hardly catch his breath.
He laughed until he fell into a large pothole and was never seen again.
