A/N: I was trying to write a Saki/Tohru fic, but instead, I ended up writing this odd little ficlet. XD I thought it was too funny to discard though. Some mistakes deserve a second chance. XD Enjoy.

Dead Fruits

Kyo and Yuki watched in silence as Saki entered their home, Tohru not far behind her. The dark-haired girl graced the shocked boys with a smile as Tohru said hello to them.

"Hanajima-chan is spending the night." Tohru said, oblivious to the boys' unease.

"That's great, Honda-san." Yuki said, recovering enough to speak, but not move.

"I'll go get started on dinner, then we can go up to my room, Hanajima-chan."

Nodding, Saki watched her innocent friend dash off to the kitchen. Sensing the unease in the room, she turned to the very still boys that were kneeling next to the living room table. Kneeling at the opposite end of the table, she stared them down, reveling in watching Kyo and Yuki squirm in discomfort. Several moments passed like this between the trio.

"You are making sure to keep, Honda-chan safe, aren't you?" Her look was all ominous doom.

"O-of course." Kyo tried not to squeak, unsuccessfully.

"No one's tried anything with her, right?" The look in Saki's eyes might have sent normal guys running.

Quickly, the boys shook their heads, fear tightening their chests, something they would never admit to. Just when they thought Saki's gaze was going to make them spontaneously combust, Tohru called out from the kitchen.

"Hanajima-chan, can you come and help me?"

Saki stood without a word, smiled, and left the room in a billow of black fabric. Silence, then Kyo looked at Yuki in horror.

"She's going to be near our dinner." He said, dread filling him.

"She's probably going to help prepare the food." The gray-haired boy said in a calm voice that did no justice for the terror that danced in his stomach.

"You don't think...?"

"No, Honda-san would never..."

The cousins looked at each other, rare unspoken agreement passing between them.

"We're going to die tonight." They said in unison.
