Jack had insisted that they stood up the top of a ridiculously high building that seemed to serve no purpose to the general public. Normally you wouldn't be able to get the rooftops to some of these buildings due to safety restrictions but you say you work for Torchwood and you could get people to spit shine your shoes if you say it could save the human race, however I hadn't tested this theory and wasn't going to in the near future nor was he going to say it out loud or we'd have to walk back down all those flights of stairs just to see if someone would, then, in victory or failure clime back up again.

He didn't think he could survive that.

I sighed and sat on the edge, leaning slightly against Jacks leg, he threaded his finger through my hair.

It wasn't often that they got out of the base to see the sunset, they were often too busy. Ianto was behind on his paperwork or feeding something, Jack often had to figure out how to stop alien threats that he had never come across before, no matter the centaury he came from, that usual proceeded in paperwork too. In fact, now he though of it, they we're lucky that they got any together time at all, relaxed time mind you. They often worked long into the night on paper work together, Ianto, being too tired to drive at two in the morning, would crash with Jack for the next couple of hours, making sure they got up well before the others got there, the looks he received were did not comfortably with him and in a job were your life's depended on each other that was a discomfort he couldn't afford.

Jack sat down next to him, placing an arm around my middle as he did so, the last bit of sun started to dip down below the horizon. My head dropped onto his shoulder,

"Let's try to do this more often," I whispered, "however I'm making the excuse next time"

"Why would that be Yan, don't I sound convincing enough?" a smile crept over his lips

"No, but I rather people think that I'm observing how the Weevils gather food rather than how they pro-create"

"Do you realise how much of a spoil sport you are?" Jack gave me a small wack on the arm

"I aim to tease" I winked at him.

"Any chance you've got your stopwatch on you?" Jacks eyes dance mischievously as I pulled it out of my jacket pocket,

"Never go anywhere without it"

"Ten minutes to see who can make up the best fake notes?"

I pressed the top,

"Ten minutes and counting" I grinned, "sir"
