Fireworks Beach
8:00 PM
So, I was so nervous when Annabeth asked me to the fireworks. So, I got dressed: I put on a camp shirt and my best jeans.
As soon, as i got there, I noticed I made a huge mistake. Everyone was wearing bathing suits! Stupid! The son of Poseidon, and I forgot to wear a pair of trunks to the BEACH? Stupid!
Annabeth had set up a beach blanket on the sand and started staring at me (probably because I was staring at her too). She looked amazing with her blue bikini exposing her stomach.
"Gods, Percy! You're overdressed!" Annabeth yelled, trying not to laugh. I probably blushed, then ran back to my cabin to get changed. I put on a pair of blue trunks, then ran back to the beach, probably embarrased that I had no shirt on.
When Annabeth saw me, she clapped and said, "Now that's better!"
I probably blushed when she took my hand and led me to the blanket. She lay down and let go of my hand.
Chiron had bought some fireworks and shot them. Annabeth took hold of my hand again. A new Athena camper, Emily, winked at Annabeth and set up her blanket next to ours and called her partner, a son of Zeus, Joshua. He lay down and grabbed her hand.
Chiron started the fireworks and Annabeth squeezed my hand.
The only reason Chiron was allowed to do the fireworks this year was because Joshua and his brother, Josh, were the peace treaty. Joshua kissed Em, which gave Annabeth an idea.
"So..." she said.
"So..." I said.
Annabeth chuckled. "What a nice beach."
"Yeah..."
"If you had to have anyone in battle with you as a partner-only a battle partner, not a parter-partner- who would you choose?"
I was probably blushing, but I said. "Probably you."
Annabeth blushed too, and her eyes looked even more beautiful in the moonlight. "Same."
Annabeth faced me and started leaning closer to me and I knew what was coming. I started leaning in too and our lips met. It was my first kiss. It lasted about 5 seconds. Annabeth stopped the kiss. Her face was as red as a beet but mine was probably even redder.
I was about to kiss her again, but Emily and Joshua said, "It's about time!"
"Is there no privacy here?" I said.
NEXT MORNING
Annabeth and I were do for inspection as cabin counselors.
As soon as she saw my messy cabin, she mumbled, "Di immortalis" and wrote the number 8 on her clipboard in her loopy hadwriting.
"AN 8!" I yelled surprised.
"It's the least I could do after"-she stopped-"last night."
I blushed and she blushed even more.
Annabeth took a seat on my bed. "I need to tell you something. "
I sat down and she took my hand. "I l-l-like you Percy."
I felt my face get hot.
"I like you too." I admitted.
Annabeth's face turned pink too.
