For the Madrigals' prompt: Light
Light
There's a thin line between the dark side and the light side.
She is gingerly tiptoeing on the line. Let's see when and where she falls, shall we?
To her right, the light side, dazzles and glimmers even when it is dark. Its farthest illuminates every time she looks at it. It looks so inviting.
But who said the dark side wasn't delightful too?
She feels much alive when she looks to her left: its coolness breathing down her neck, her warm breath escaping in puffs of steam, the matte pitch-darkness opening its welcoming arms to embrace her petite frame.
And suddenly, she slips. And it just so happens that she hits the dark side, merging with it.
She laughs softly. The cold circles her arms. It feels great.
But the coolness, pleasant at first, soon becomes unbearable, its iciness stinging.
She wants to leave.
From the dark side, she could still see the light side: bright, warm and safeā¦
Struggling, she attempted to get there, but the cold she used to love pushed back.
Defeated, she sobbed, screamed, and cried until her eyes were dry and there were no tears left. She felt hollow inside.
That's when she saw it coming.
She screamed one last time before the darkness overcame her resistance and engulfed her.
Forever.

AN:I feel like this was way weird but who cares? This was my first try at something a little poetic."She" is Natalie and she joined the dark side in a dream mode.
