Hogwarts Exchange Program: A Bust or Success?

After two years of secret discussions, the wizarding world finally have been informed of the highly controversial Hogwarts Exchange Program which is happening for the first time this year. The students of Hogwarts will have new classmates from all over the globe, for one year only, exclusive to those chosen by the once felon, prestigious J.K. Rowling.

One secret meeting between J.K. Rowling and the ministry didn't seem like an issue, but as the meetings increased in frequency, the wizarding world were on the edge of their seats, listening in for any hints on what might be discussed. J.K. Rowling, a common name in the Daily Prophet, after outing the existence of the wizarding world in a novel (and subsequent series), was placed in the wizarding prison, Azkaban, until authorities "cleaned up the mess." J.K. Rowling's actions harshly affected the entire wizarding population, as families prepared to go back into hiding only mere months after the Dark lord Voldemort was killed. Conveniently, the Prime Minister of Muggle Britain advocated for the author and had her released from prison, only if she were to remain in the pretense that our entire existence is a fantasy. And remain she did.

Now, years after her final book was released, J.K. Rowling is using her influence in the ministry to welcome several students around the world, who weren't initially invited to Hogwarts, to attend the school for a year, as to let them experience the magic that they "have loved their entire lives." This project is the largest one the ministry has ever taken, surpassing the amount of preparation and resources of that the Triwizard tournament.

J.K. Rowling, herself, has chosen the lucky students, whom of which have received their letters earlier this week. These students have all traveled to London and will be meeting with J.K. Rowling and the minister this evening for the first time to further debrief them on this amazing journey. However, many people have begun to speculate whether this is the right thing to do. How can we ensure that they won't reveal the wizarding world to the muggle public? Will Hogwarts be able to accommodate the sudden surplus of 100 new students? Will these students be prioritized to the those who have already been attending Hogwarts? This has been Rita Skeeter reminding you to subscribe to the Daily Prophet for more updates on the Hogwarts Exchange Program.

She walked in and glanced around the room, unable to recall a time she had seen the Leaky Cauldron this empty. Everything was ready; tables cleared, rooms empty and awaiting the tenants, food made and ready to be served. Two aurors stood at every entrance, for protection of the exchange students and the wizarding community waiting anxiously out in Diagon Alley. Two years in the making, and today it will finally be put to affect. Joanne turned around and signaled for the aurors to ready the doors. A flash of green from the fireplace and out stepped Kingsley Shacklebolt. The two didn't have much to say, and nodded their heads towards the aurors, who finally pushed open the doors.
