Bittersweet Sacrifices
Chapter I
She sat there. Pearly tears streaming down her soft, rosy cheeks. They were a mix of tears, some of relief, some of joy, yet most of sadness. Her beautiful visage revealed it all though. This young woman was heartbroken.
Even as she sat upon the cliff of the highest mountain in ORB far, far away from anyone else she still felt suffocated. Not even the soothing cerulean waters of the ocean would help her now. Nor the intoxicating sunset that usually made her hair stand on end. For the first time in her life, the warmth of the sun provided no comfort, yet only more painful memories.
She questioned herself…Had she made the right choice? Should she have pushed him into the arms of another woman?…Yes.
What had made her come to this decision? Well, to her, this woman was…was more beautiful, feminine, smart, youthful, and energetic. She would take care of him, would make him more happy. She could provide him with all the things she couldn't. This woman was everything she used to be…and at the same time, everything she wasn't.
Most of all, this woman loved him. Possibly, more than she ever could. He would be happier…Yes happier…at least, that's what she thought.
Unknown to her, she didn't know how absolutely wrong she was…
