Yo! I know this is a kind of late Valentine's Day fanfic, but I couldn't help but write it anyways. Hope you enjoy.

The Things I do for Love

"Daddy!" a little blond girl yelled, followed by her blond younger brother, "What are you getting mom for Valentine's day? You didn't go shopping at all!"

Ed looked down at his daughter. Then gave a sad sigh and said, "You'll see."

"But I want to know now!" said the girl, giving her father her piercing golden gaze.

Ed looked down, still ready to cry and said, "I told you, you'll see."

"But how come it looks like you're about to cry?" the little girl asked, curiously.

"I told you Ellie, you'll understand once Mommy comes home!" Ed groaned and started to get agitated. After all, Ed was not known to be the best at anger management. Even with his own kids sadly.

"When?" the little boy asked, turning his, yet again, blue eyes at him.

Ed kneeled to the ground, and then lifted the boy up saying, "When mommy gets home of course!"

"Where did Mommy go again?" the boy asked.

Ed looked at him, now one eye starting to twitch, "Shopping."

"OH!" he exclaimed, making an "o" with his mouth.

Then the door bell rang. As Ed slowly go up from his big red chair, his two children rushed to the door to see who it was. Ed didn't even have to guess when he heard the screams of "mommy!"

"Oh, hello Ellie and hello to you little Al!" the women smothered.

"I see you're back home Winry," Ed said, leaning against the frame of the door. "What did you get this year? Last year it was a whole new automail supply that I had to keep. The year before, it was a brand new television that only weighs what a couple of pounds and nearly broke my back."

"Oh, don't be so sadistic," Winry said pulling out her wrench, "It's Valentine's Day, and you said you would do whatever you wanted for me. Remember?"

At the sight of the beloved wrench that would cause only pain to Ed's head, Ed shut up and tried to put on his most pleasant smile.

"Good," Winry said, "Now come and help me get the new living room set out of the car. I got it red especially for you!"

And as Ed pieces of furniture into the room, Elli leaned to Al and whispered, "I think I know why Daddy never goes shopping on Valentine's Day."

And if anybody listened carefully to Ed's muttering, he would say, "The things I do for love!

I got this lame idea from when my dad and I were moving furniture this Valentine's Day, and just thought about crossing it over to FMA. Anyways, my result.
