Hey, ... here's something that I don't want to deal with but it wouldn't go away. With all the warnings of traitors in the team and Ward's absence in the upcoming promo group shots, it just won't go away, so I thought I'd share with with you. "Isn't breaking the fraternization protocol not enough excuse for you to leave that you have to do this?"

"Sir?"

"Are you still desperate to get out of this that you deliberately disobeyed my orders to capture and not to kill?"

"What you do mean I'm desperate to get out of this? I'm a part of the team!"

"Then why did you kill The damn Clairvoyant? Who told you to do it, Agent Ward?"

"No one! I made my own call! You didn't put me in here to just work on my People Skill. You put me in here to make the hard call and I made it, Coulson!"

"Who are you working for?"

"No one!"

"Then why did you do it?"

Ward kept quiet.

"Why the hell did you do it, damn it!?"

"You heard what he said before I shot him," Ward replied softly. "I don't want Skye to die."

"Why?"

"What do you mean why?"

"What is she to you? What is so special about her that you are willing to jeopardize your position here!"

"She is Skye."

"So what? What is so special about that? What do you know about Skye."

"Nothing!"

"Cut the crap! What do you know about her?"

Ward remained silent.

"Answer the question Agent Ward!"

"Nothing! How many times do I have to tell you?"

"Then why would you not want her killed?"

"Because she is someone that I fell in love with."

Agent Coulson remain silent before reaching for the door. He spoke without looking at Ward.

"I already told you the consequences of having a relationship with a team member, Agent Ward."

"I know Sir. But Skye doesn't know about how I feel. I don't want her to know because like you said, a relationship may jeopardize the team. We both know how much she wants to be here."

"It doesn't matter if she knows because you have already screwed up for letting your personal feelings control you. Even if the S.H.I.E.L.D Review Board don't kick you out, I will make sure you are send to someplace you won't even know where because it's so deep under the earth surface that no one can detect it."

Agent Ward was stripped off his S.H.I.E.L.D badge by the Review Board. He made his way to the only place his knew. The door opened to his insistent banging.

"Hey Bro! You are finally here. I'll go get the Old Man."

Ward entered the house that he used to live in.

"Can I get you anything?"

Ward shook his head at the offer. The other man was walking away but stopped and turned towards Ward.

"Look. I'm sorry about shooting the girl. You know it was not my call."

Ward ignored the apology with a low command, "Just get Garrett down, Quinn."

Turning to look out the window, Ward raised his eyes towards the sky.

He wondered if love can save him.
