The alarm blared as a group of young teens run through the back alleyway. They sprinted away from the building, navigating through the labyrinth of dumpsters and garbage cans. The biggest guy grunts from the physical exertion, a snarky voice yells "We need a distraction, we cannot keep this up for long."

The group nods in agreement, as they continue to run. "Mick and I will find a place to lay low, you all can do what you need to," Leonard asserts over the huffing. The two guys veer off one of the side alleys, leaving the main group to figure out the game plan.

"Z, what you thinkin?" a smaller figure responds with a gulp of air. They nervously look around, squatting behind a dumpster. They can hear the sirens in the distance. Z shifts her place peering over the fence and waits. After a silent pause, Z lifts up her fingers and motions a strategy.

"Alright, so what I am thinking is, we definitely need to split up. Look, I can't get caught again. We need to get out of this, come up with some story that we all agree on, just in case," Zari whispers with a serious tone. The other three nod in agreement.

"Yeah same, plus my daddy isn't too friendly with the cops," a sour drawl came from the dark haired girl. The blonde, muscular teen rolled her eyes and gave Nora a shove.

"I don't know what's worse, you getting caught and dealing with your dad or dealing with Laurel." Zari gleamed with a playful look, then quickly peering around the corner.

"Who said anything about getting caught?" Sara said with a smirk.

"Ooh what are you thinking Lance," Nora's eyes opened with excitement.

"Z, we need to make sure the cops don't find the car. So, make sure you head in the opposite direction, then head home," Sara commands, running a hand through her blonde locks. Zari nods in response. "Nora, I'll make a distraction. You just get out of here. See you in class tomorrow, we'll talk then."

"Aight, you got it Lance," Z fake saluted with a grin, "you better not be late for the first day of school." They counted down and went different directions, sneaking past the police. The blonde sprinted down the alley, getting the attention of the police officer who began his pursuit.

He yelled at her to stop, but she kept running, vaulting over the chain-link fence through someone's yard. She could hear the policeman close behind her, shit I am out of shape.

As she hits the fence, she feels herself being ripped off of it by a pair of strong hands that tackle her to the ground. Recovering her breath, Sara struggles against the grip, trying to keep his hands from removing her mask. He jabs her in the ribs, but she lands a swift kick between his legs. With a groan he sinks into the ground, giving her the window to get out. She sprints away and doesn't look back.

When Sara arrives at home, all the lights are out. She climbs up the side of the house, sneaking right to her window which was left open a crack. Sara pulls the window open and crawls through slowly and carefully, grimacing from a slight throb in her side.

The blonde walks over to her bed and sits down with a sigh. She glances at the clock on her bedside table, 12:17 am. She lays back, staring at the ceiling. Her phone buzzed in her back pocket.
